Read what you wrote again and tell me if it's not Low IQ that is worrying you ?

Are you saying companies have not been paying their taxes?

Are you saying the ministry of works have not been having huge budgets for road construction ?

You now want me to listen to Fashola who is even responsible for the high cost of road construction in Nigeria when he started awarding one KM of road for 1 billion naira as far back as 2008 ,making Nigeria the country with the highest cost per kilometer in the world at the time ..

See trust me na Low IQ dey do U

You should read what you wrote again and determine if you even have an IQ.

where did I say companies were not paying their taxes or anything i wrote suggest such. infact what does anything I said lead you to any of the conclusions you have come to or have any relevance to anything you wrote?

I dont blame you I blame the poor education sector...it is destined to only produced retards as displayed by your post!!!

You will be glad you did
You must be delusional then. The value has been inflated already so there is no way any private entity looking to evade taxation won't jump at the opportunity to construct it.

Can you imagine PDP awarded contract since 21 years now and has not paid a kobo to get it done?

It's "inflated" but private entity will jump at opportunity to construct it...are you sure that you are making sense?

You definitely don't have the brain grade to even process my point , is it not the same you that voted Buhari again ? Is it not poor quality minds like you that have kept Nigeria in the mess it is till date ? The average IQ in Nigeria is a miserable 67 and that's where most of the problems stem from so I don't blame you if you can't see the problem in this tax credit thing ...

The fact that Fashola admits the govt couldn't build roads despites all these companies paying their taxes then is an indictment on his lame ministry of works but a small brained fellow like you thinks he should be applauded for say such nonsense and attempting to outsource his job to private companies who are jumping on it because it's a cool way to reduce their tax burden

Instead of you to ask yourself yourself what govt has been doing with the huge tax they collect from these companies and the Budget earmarked for this you are here being emotional because of LOW IQ!!!!

Well I will save your moniker and come back here to remind you when the problems of this tax credit rears its head since you low IQ lot must experience something physically before understanding it ..

When we told low IQed folks like you in December 2015 that Buhari will not achieve a single good thing for this country till he leaves people like you argued but today we are vindicated

Just weeks ago when I predicted the shoody ban on BDC will affect the naira badly people like you still argued and just weeks later I am vindicated ..

There is a reason I am worth over 100 million dollars today and it's because of my superior thinking that always gives me an edge to see problems long before they turn up..

How many road are covered by the Ministry's budget.

Learn to be calming down. Individuals also build roads in other climes. They have been stealing the ministry's budget and not doing any roads for donkey years. What have you done about it?
Like I said, the idea has been on ground before this admin. That was how dangote did the obajana road. That this admin embraced it is also good but as you said, we have to open our eyes. Not for the ministry's budget but for the roads to ensure they are done as agreed and not just give the coys tax breaks without doing anything in return
You are wasting your time on him

That's my point exactly. Who is keeping watch over these things?

It's enough to have laudable policies, but who is controlling or checkmating these policies?

Same person that created the policy or independent body? Ordinary state taking over VAT, FIRS is running helter-skelter.

I completely agree with you. Nigerian govt are experts in turning good ideas to fraud

yes I am.
If a road span of certain quality that can be done for N10 billion but has been known to be awarded for N25B by govt(corrupt officials) to construction firms, and along the line the govt decides to offer you as an industrialist the chance to do same road in exchange for a tax waiver of say N22B, will you consider taking the offer?

There is no difference in a party that award a contracts without releasing funds and another that inflates same contract by a factor of 3 then releases funds speedily. For the party releasing the funds, they simply used the money for three contracts to do one. That's two fully looted contract against one unlooted contracted from the other party. I am not saying it to defend APC or PDP or APGA or MTN. It is just facts.

Bros. That's why there is an oversight. Legislators, ministry, state governments screen more because money wouldnt go through them. Private sector also screen more because of the hurdles of claiming the tax credit. The more the number of parties, the less the chance to steal. Involving private sector is good. Just like world bank projects, it's very difficult to steal from them. Ask those who know.

Valid questions. The bad road GZI did in Umueme Aba, where they have their factory, is a reference point for poor road quality delivery by the company.

The road was never completed. Stupidity and greediness of the indigenous people of Umuichichi and Umueme caused it. [They requested millions of naira before the road would be constructed ] GZI just filled the potholes and graded it, nothing else

stop vibrating like a motivated ignoramus. If I spot a road of N10B being executed for N50B and I know I am in line for a N50B tax to the same govt, I can very easily step up to the govt and offer to do the road in exchange for waiving my tax. To the undiscerning mind, it looks like a N50B tax in exchange for a N50B road. But deep down I know I just evaded N40B of tax by doing same project for N10B which is the actual cost. It is a function of the precedence in corruption culture of the current govt. The have been inflating projects because of paddy-paddy-ism, Dangote steps in with his born to rule privilege and hijacks few of the such projects in exchange for tax waivers because he knows a percentage of his actual tax will finish the road. Adenuga too as a sharp guy decides to ride on Dangote wing.

Stop brandishing figures and feeling flies. For argument sake 10b project is allowed to be 50b because a civil servant, legislator and contractor will get their share in process of bidding and implementation. You don't just construct a road and tell FG give me 50b and they do! Common! This time, the government worker knows the money won't come through him, the legislator knows that this money has been spent before it gets to him for ratification and the audit team is different from work ministry that approved the paper works and at a later period. It is definitely not fraud proof but it's a saner process. There are some parties on the table who won't benefit and will do thorough job.
Most corruption succeed due to the assent of civil servants. Once they won't benefit from it, you will see a professional not a civil servant.
As per ministry existing budget, the point fashola made was that the projects weren't funded not that the fund was stolen. So ensuring accountability in MDAs for funded projects is another topic which shouldn't be muddled with this.
Except you have a mindset....
