Simply put, in greek/jew terms this is how I see it. May not be 100% accurate but it's close.

Egbiland/Ijebuland: Sparta

Ibadan: Macedonia

Ijebu/egbiland: is like Sparta because like sparta they are strong fighters and did not want to unify with rest of Yorubaland but still lost battles to ibadan, kings from macedonia united Greece(under the Hellenic league) and built empires, just like ibadan men that tried to unite Yorubaland once and built Oyo empire, and yes I agree with you fren, Athens is Athens and Ife is Ife.
