Whether 6 house assembly members defected or not has no influence to the election polls. They have just simply destroyed their political career. Most influential stakeholders of APC like Chris Ngige are opposed to the candidacy of Andy Uba. It serves them no purpose if he wins. So expect no support from them. The name "Uba" will never be governor of anambrarians. That family name has been soiled in the mud, they have no integrity and can never be trusted. The people anything that is associated with APC as it associated with buhari. It reminds them of the hardship they are currently facing in the country. So it very easy to campaign against Apc to the women; who are majority of the voters. PDP is so divided that six of the governorship aspirants that lost the primaries in the party have defected to other political parties. All are contesting for the governorship elections. Catholic/ Anglican dichotomy is real in SE, but I'm not sure how it will play out in the Anambra election. I never knew about the divide until recently when an igbo lady, set to marry an igbo Anglican, said that their family priest (Catholic) had told her he won't attend her wedding if the ceremony didn't take place at a Catholic church (the church activities were already slated for her fiance's church).
