The commercialization of cultured meat has now been achieved, and lab-grown meat could soon hit stores. This is good news for animal rights advocates.
This is bad news for healthy living and good news for pharmas. The argument of animal rights activists that eating animals is cruelty based on the fact that we are taking their lives holds no water because plants and the other alternatives they're presenting have lives too.

How are cultured meats bad for the health?

Cultured meats are grown in the lab and the process doesn't involve slaughtering of animals.

Please, learn more about they're synthesized here: https://culturedbeef.org/what-cultured-meat

Scientists will also create cultured foods (lab-grown rice, beans, wheat, maize, and others) in the future, provided these alternatives don't have any adverse health implications.

That will save plants from being harvested for food.

I see plants as living things that also have consciousness like humans, and animals as living organisms with consciousness.

Just that, human consciousness is starkly different and unique from animal consciousness and plant consciousness.

However, the fields of animal consciousness and plant consciousness still remain undeveloped.

Even, we barely understand human consciousness, let alone plant consciousness or animal consciousness.

As humans study and understand nature better, the way we eat and live will evolve.

The articles address cogent health and environmental issues that lab-grown meats present.

Apparently, cultured meat technologies need a lot of optimization before they can be considered a healthier, safer and better alternative to the traditional methods of meat production.

More research still needs to be done on potential effects of growing meats in labs on health and the environment.

With ingenuity and creativity, it's possible to find better, healthier, and more environmental-friendly methods of producing meats artificially.

But the currently available techniques aren't sustainable.

In the past, humans thought feats like electricity, airplanes, mobile phones, Internet, and a slew of other breakthroughs are not achievable; however, history has proven them wrong.

The same thing, I think, will happen in this case as well.

That's because you're a Nigerian and your cultural values don't have special interests in or regard for animals.

In some cultures, people regard certain animals with special affection and/or respect.

Examples are how some Indians see cows as a sacred symbol of life, meant to be protected and revered; Americans love and cherish their pets, dogs and cats; some Ibos and even Indians and Australians consider it a taboo to kill certain snake species.

There are numerous other examples. I don't see how these beliefs are stupid, especially coming people that believe in all sort of religious, superstitious myths.

The issue of technology is different from that of the human biology you don't joke play with the human body under the guise of promoting technology. In the 60s or so some people said the milk of mothers is unsafe for newborn babies and introduced baby formula and those who bought into the nonsense ended harming themselves and their children. Look at the issue of GMO for instance the FDA has since place a restriction on it in USA and some other countries did the same, we know how it's touted as a great scientific breakthrough that will help in ending food insecurity and promote healthy living but the reverse is the case in most cases. So, this recent attempt by profiteers to market a bad product as safe and healthy is dead on arrival to me and should be resisted by the authorities.

The data and research findings will decide.

As far as I know, cultured meats aren't generally currently regarded as a healthier and safer alternative to organic meats.

what do you understand about anything cheesy

There is a circle

If you have too many antelopes eating the grass, your grassland will lose all it's vegetation and become a barren land, wolves eat those antelopes to keep their population in check, and preserve that area, balance

it's a very delicate natural balance that must be maintained, so eating animals isn't inhumane, most animal rights activists aren't proposing that people should stop eating meat completely, they want to reduce our dependence on that source of protein and also want to fight against barbaric animal farming practices and other forms of unnecessary counter productive practices

we as humans have selected a few animals that we would domesticate and eat but we have taken things to extreme ends, it's no longer about eating to survive

innovations have made this possible, it has led to it having a negative impact on that balance with consequential repercussions

killing animals for their skins and parts, dry aging, veel, there are people that hunt endangered species for sports and some even capture them and take them into enclosures that aren't good for them and it eventually leads to their death

These are the issues triggering that movement

You think the issues are over the meat you buy at the market, people that are vegans do it as a form of sacrifice, playing their own part in limiting those practices

Also zoonotic, if a pathogen evolves into a dangerous virus in an animal, it might have no effect on that animal, bats have plenty viruses in them, where there is trouble is when that animal is consumed by humans, we can bearly handle it especially if the virus mutates

Coronavirus shut down the world, imagine if something truly deadly and very contagious should appear, coronavirus is a joke compared to some known viruses that we know of today

Less than 6%

Because we are the dominant sentient species doesn't mean that these animals are beneath us, they might not have self awareness but they are alive like us, some have even been taught to do things that we humans do

It's not just enough for the whites to campaign verbally against racism.

They're not doing enough to repair the great damages they did to Africa, which is the origin or cradle of humanity.

Many Western countries, especially the Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Portugal need to toe the path of Germany and repatriate all stolen funds, bronzes, and artifacts plundered from Africa.

These stolen items have yielded billions of dollars for the Western countries and are highly valuable, but they managed to convince our forefathers that the artifacts and bronzes are evil and demonic.

Interestingly, modern-day Africans still regard these valuable historical items as demonic and evil.

This is because they've been brainwashed by the whites and Arabs to despise their culture, yet the Africans would sing the praises of Muhammad, fictitious Jesus, Moses, Solomon, who Africans didn't descend from and aren't related to.

It's folly to revere the prophets of the Bible and Qur'an and demonize Ogun, Ifa, Amadioha, and the local deities in your area, who were great people that existed in the past and deified for their great feats or heroic acts.

It's also folly to regard tasbih and rosaries with respect, but demonize cowries and beads that traditionalists use to meditate and connect with their ancestors, just like the white Christians and the Arab Muslims use the rosaries to meditate in prayers and connect with Allah and Jehovah, their ancestors.
