For ten years now. Government fail this road

there is no federal road in imo state that is not completely dilapidated.
Owerri-onitsha Road, owerri - ph Road, okigwe-owerri Rd, okigwe-nnewi Rd, owerri-umuahia Rd, owerri-aba Rd. Tufia. Imo state is cursed with bad leaders.

Yet they talking about 'keeping Imo in the center'. How a cerebral state like Imo gets so unfortunate to keep having 419ers, cultists and criminals like Rochas, Ozodimgba etc as Governors baffles me everytime.

Calabar-itu road is the worst road I have ever seen, a journey of 1hr can take you upto 5hrs because of that route. A pregnant woman can't even pass that road due too the kinds of pot holes on them.

The east-west road, Eleme axis in Rivers state they blocked for a whole week what was the outcome, they grounded petrochemical, Refinery and Onne seaport activities for 1wk in order for FG to fix the road, as I type this comment no contractor has been mobilized to site yet, so community leaders, youth leaders cash-out with the protest

How exactly does anyone go about fixing your such a road ?

That entire road needs first be leveled before anything can be considered.

Greedy youths, all these while that the road was bad they didn't protest, only when the road has been awarded to Julius Berger for repairs, they are protesting. They went to erect illegal structures in order to collect compensation and marching ground.

This road was awarded since 2016..monies budgetted... I passed that road, no illegal structures that will warrant the contractors not to commence work.
JB started work towards 2019 elections, did rushed job and after the elections they stopped cos the funding wasnt forth coming.
They just reawarded some sections of the road, jB now r playing around odukpani axis. The last time they were mobilised, they were playing around itu axis.

I remembered vividly during GEJ time Federal road maintenance agency was in active service. And a lot if construction were ongoing but presently nothing is happening rather it steady looting. Everywhere is so quiet.

watch as the federal govt rush to fix it because of protest the question is can't they fix it without protest

You don't know anything...... Which reliable source? That an illegal structure will stop FG government from carrying out a road construction? When Buhari wanted to go for second term, JB was cowed to mobilize their equipment to site, this was a way to curry votes from Akwa Ibom & Cross River because of the economic importance of that road... But when he won the election and JB knew they got scammed by the Politician for their own selfish gain, they had to pull out their equipment.... That's how the road has dilapidated to this level.

Shut up your gworo smelling dirty mouth. Anambra has the best road networks in igboland as the best state in the region. Imo state has by far the worst roads in southern Nigeria. Owerri particularly has become even worse than Aba. Imo state equally has the worst erosion menace on earth. There's a reason why Imo indigenes are trooping to Anambra for greener pasture but you can't find a single Anambran anywhere near Imo state. Envious bitter frustrated fellow.

imo state is a totally dilapidated filthy shithole state that's ravaged by bad roads, filth terrorists, kidnappers, etc. Owerri is totally a mess with dilapidated roads, filth, etc.

Most imo indigenes are living in Anambra particularly Onitsha, because imo state is a failed state.

Abagworo thank God you quoted me. I am not here for a d1ck measuring contest. I have strong familial links in both Imo and Anambra. Ihiala (Anambra), Lilu (Anambra), Isseke (Anambra), Orsumoghu (Anambra), Orsu-Ihiteukwa (Imo), Awo-Idemili (Imo), all speak the same Igbo dialect have very strong familial ties and intermarry. But are in the two different states.

Why should I drive all the way from Ihiala on a nice well paved road, pass through Isseke and suddenly start struggling with manholes and potholes immediately I enter Awo-Idemili till I get to Orlu. That road is a federal road, people coming from Akwa Ibom, Calabar, Aba etc ply that road en route to Onitsha and Lagos and almost everyday buses tumble or develop faults on that road.
Abagworo, Imo have been in the center with APC for years, why can't Imo fix it's own part or even beg FG (whom your principals wine and dine with in Abuja) to fix the road? What is Imo still doing in the center with APC if it can't get a short federal road fixed as part of development? A bu diri Imo state onu? Warris dis?
