Because I’m trying to understand if there’s a part of Nigér in Nigeria that’s not under Nigerian telecommunication service which excludes them from the shutdown or there’s a deep level sh&t i can’t fathom going on there.
And if our government deems it fit to shutdown telecom as a strategy to tackle insecurity, shouldn’t special agents like the military have a secured com server like a special radio frequency where communications can be passed to necessary authority for information and backup? Should they be in a dark and blind mission with no eyes, ears and mouth to fight?
Something fishy is really going down in the north, telecom shutdown is just a silhouette

Every telecommunications equipment has a PAPR (Peak Average Power Ratio) emanating from base stations. This can be override by pumping more kilowatt into the transmitter to enable radio signals travel further.

NCC regulates the telcos from violating this limitation as they encroach and distort neighboring bands.
All NCC needs to do is get high powered transmitters and jam those frequency.
This can be done from central location or distributed. A good example is when you hear noise and sounds from other radio stations on your tuned station.

Good to know, normally your phone connects to towers that aren’t owned or operated by your original telecommunications, they use the current location tower which according to the FG has been shutdown, or is it that it is only local network providers that were shut down and international calls can still go through ?
