Is anyone here keeping tabs on C. Gallagher at Crystal Palace? I have been watching that guy since last season when he was at Westbrom and he has impressed me. What is Chelsea’s plans for the guy after this season?

I hear they plan to bring him back, including Gilmour. But for this to happen there must be plans to play a 3 man midfield or else minutes would in short supply.

In Havertz final season in Leverkusen, he played 30 games, scoring 12 goals

Interesting to note, he played as a striker in 6 games and scored 6 goals

That means he only scored 6 goals in 24 games playing midfield

I have said it, this guy is a striker,not an AM. His main skill is finishing, not passing the ball or vision to create. He used to drop 6,6,9 assists in Bundesliga and so on, and he has only created one big chance in his EPL career.

We are not Leverkusen to carry a striker disguising as a midfielder and dropping goal return not commensurate with the striker position. Havertz major obstacle now to playing where we can get real utility out of him is Lukaku cos only in striker position does he impress a little bit.

If he keeps this up, he is destined for a breakthrough or a shot at first team football next season. Unfortunately he didn't have the best of preseasons, but he was played out of position.
