Here we go again - when you have on pharma chain DISPENSING drugs - you think can actually manufacture medicine like Kenya.

Although pharmaceutical products are currently manufactured in countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Morocco and Egypt, as a whole Africa currently imports more than 80 per cent of its pharmaceutical and medical consumables. It is unsustainable.

In 2005, a World Bank study revealed that South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Zimbabwe had demonstrated the
industrial capacity for producing medicine for export or domestic consumption in the face of the diminishing supply
of generic medicine from the major producers.

Kenya is currently the largest producer of pharmaceutical products in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) region, supplying about 50% of the regions’ market.

If you go to most countries in COMESA - you will find kenya made drugs in almost every hospital.

GHANA - please compare yourself with Uganda.

Kenya plays with Egypt, South Africa and maybe Nigeria in almost every sector.

Yeah I saw it too, and that's the first time I'm seeing that, throughout my 6 years stay in Ghana, I have never encountered or heard of a Nigerian driving taxi in Ghana, it's very rare, a Nigerian can buy a car,and hand it over to a Ghanaian to start a taxi business, and he will be paying him salary after balance.

Maybe I am wrong. Azikwe I know was in the failed Biafra war.He definitely cannot wash Tom Mboya shoes. In Africa only Nelson Mandela is top. Not because Mandela is more intelligent but because he suffered for 27yrs and still managed to deliver South Africa - only to be messed up by Thabo Mbeki, Zuma and the current leadership.

Again I encourage you to pay some attention and listen to one TOM MBOYA - arguably one of Africa best leaders- I'd would have said Jomo Kenyatta if I was looking for easy populism - but definitely Africa deserve Tom Mboyas.

This is Mboya in 1950s - aged 20s!!!!!!!!!!!!! Self-educated African - very few Africans will achieve this clarity of mind - 60yrs later.
