Upgrade your firmware. If it doesn't stop you have to return the phone and ask for replacement if you bought it from a store. I once bought a brand new Samsung that the battery drains within 4 hours even if its idle, after trying many fixes I had to returned it and it was replaced. I use redmi note 9s and I stream a lot, it has never been hot for once.

I was streaming man United vs Everton game and before I knew it, phone's hot as an iron plugged to power.
Do I have the rights to return the device and ask for refund?? If that doesn't work, I plan to sell it off immediately and go for Samsung. What do y'all suggest?

Advise the op to check if he has too many apps running in the background and disable them, let him also make sure he has good network reception as poor reception stresses the processor making it to overheat. If all of the above doesn’t help, he may consider returning the phone as it may have a factory defect.

If a person buys Tecno and complains of issues, I know the kain comments una dey drop. But genuine Tecno users will always give a solution to the problem.
