The corpse of the 36-year-old who worked at the engineering department of the NTA boaster station in Okene was found along Okene Ogori Magong road on Wednesday morning, September 8.

Obiahu was buried in his hometown, Ezi Agbii, Ukpa Village in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Saturday, October 2.

A friend of the deceased, Irem Raphael, who shared photos from the funeral ceremony on Facebook, wrote:

This happened in this country! A man was stoned to death for no just reason. Those who moan about violence in the South East never raised an eyebrow over this. He has been buried and I can assure you that this will also mark the burial of the news about his death as nobody will be arrested nor purnished for this crime. They will rather clamp down on those protesting his killing than arrest his killers. That's how strange Nigeria operates..
