Did you make a police report when your certificates were stolen, if yes, proceed to the police station and report that you got information that your certificate were found with a smuggler. The police will accompany you to the crime scene and effect arrest, due process of law will follow, however, if you did not make a report before now, you may be an accomplice to the crime.

Be smart, scammers might be at work here, trying to put fear into you by linking your name to importation/exportation of illegal drugs.

Once they notice your vulnerability, they’d want to ask you to pay some certain amount of money to clear you off, before it gets out of hands.

And it could be the other way round, just be smart but am 80% sure it’s a scam.

The person using your documents should also have your name in his passport, for clarity sake, let them send you passport database of the person.

Bullshit!!! whether his number is listed or not is irrelevant because the person who alerted him is his friend who presumably already has his number, what are the odds your document is stolen and somehow your friend is present when the offender is caught at the airport 2 years later? I'm sorry i am not buying it. either it was an iside job (the friend knew about it) or they all knew about it and the reporting on Nairaland or the police was an elaborate scheme to create deniability.
