In my country, the most important day of the week is Monday because most people need to hustle and make money, and as the great musician in Nigeria said in his song, aro Monday Eko oni GBA GBA Ku Gba o. This simple means Lagosians must work on Mondays



In Nigeria, Mondays is for hustling but in Brazil, it is different lots of businesses don't work on Mondays in Brazil like some feiras and some other shops, feiras are like, let's say tejuosho market in Nigeria.



Me as a Lagos boy I work on Mondays and I don't seat at home, don't be surprised when you come To Brazil and see shop's closed on a Monday

Different countries have their own traditions and work strategies, no need for unnecessary comparisons. If you have your own business you can decide which day of the week not to work, as long as it doesn't negatively impact on your returns.
