I'd just say it this way;

If the likes of Setien and Ernesto Valverde were "not stupid" and had done like Koeman is doing and given talents like them chances instead of using players like Roberto, Paulinho, Andre Gomez and Arda Turan; we'd most likely not be here today!

I'm struggling to see any significant difference between the quality of players Spain had tonight and those under Koeman. So what then is the problem?

The Spanish team I saw tonight with same Busquet, Sergi Roberto, Gavi had lots of discipline, tactical awareness and decent defensive output. Why can't Koeman elicit same kind of performance against any decent opposition?

Well, he should have a sizeable portion of the blame. His job is to get the best out of his team on field.
