Let's try to reason like humans. What Nairobi has done in the past 3yrs will take jorburg 3 decades to establish that.

Jorburg is a dormant city - Nairobi is 5th most dynamic in the world.
Lol do you want to check Google maps?

When last were you in South Africa?
I stayed in South Africa about 4 years that was before the World Cup. 3 months to the World Cup I live South Africa for Brazil. I have stayed mostly in the northern parts of South Africa very few times in Johannesburg. Most of my 4 years I spent it around Limpopo and Messina, at Panna seed company Farm, when I was there I was learning production of Maze hybrid seed. I also spent more than a year at seedco 22 km after Messina on the way to Limpopo. Unfortunately with my job I am mostly in the farming areas not the big city but I travel to the big city to buy equipments. A lot of times I travelled to Johannesburg especially pirate Motors to buy parts for the Farm vehicle. I visited Durban and Cape Town once, Western Cape also once.

Jorburg is not building any viaduct road as we're speaking - Nairobi is building 4 different viaduct roads.

Jorburg is not constructing any 30+ fls as we speak. Nairobi is construction 12, 34fls - not including GTC. Those are grand projects that only Egyptian new cities can rival at the moment.

Nairobi is building one of the biggest museum in Africa, mashujaa park. Nairobi has just topped out 6 GTC 43fls, 37fls, 33fls, 31fls, 30fls, 30fls modern apartments and finishing is underway.

If you could reason with evidence, everything will be alright my nigga cool

If only there were some one who do city Vlogs unfortunately there are not really there

For instance South Africa has largest data centers in africa, last month the new biggest one was opened in Johannesburg ,,,, this past weekend another huge one was opened in cape Town. All was OK no noise

Yet in others countries it would have been huge news, the president would have came to cut ribbons

I told you South Africa is no longer building tall buildings. Again more emphasis cement consumption.

Johannesburg cement consumption same size than the entire kenya, consumption is one that tells you how much a place is building.

Viaduct is depended on how city is constructed.... You see African tigress also stated that Harare is better planned than Nairobi. Guess what Harare does not have viaduct.

Please you need to stop using Nigeria as a benchmark because Nigeria is a total joke. Are governors and presidents can sign MOU with a company which does not exist or a company which has packed up 10 years ago . It would be news all over the place. Try to compare yourself with Nigeria is just a waste of time it's like tried to compare a cheetah with a snail in Speed. Something which is private development I don't see the Business of the government making noise about it. You have some countries the president we go and open a private housing scheme which has been bit by a private company is that a country

Because everyone is flocking to one city in Kenya, you need tall buildings, traffic will be bad due to lack of planning you'll end up with many alevated roads and creating another mess

You are no longer cannot afford to build it - otherwise you built Leonardo. Your economy cannot generate formal jobs required to fill such office spaces. That is all. Dead economy has no demand for effective economy.

Kenya cement consumption is approaching 8M tonnes - South Africa is at 13M - for a country with 10m more people and twice as big as kenya.

The slight edge you have on Nairobi - is going to disappear soon. From malls, to data centers, name it - infrastructure - all of it - we are catching up.

Kenya as whole is one big construction site.

As for silly neigberhood debate - all you need is to get a map of Nairobi metro built up area - and compare to province of Gauteng - it's pretty close.

Let me just inform everybody here you cannot use cement consumption as a perimeter for development or construction. Main reasons for this when I was in southern Africa I found out most of their houses are built clay bricks. Also they use a lot of floor tiles and arbestest roofs. Including tile roofs. I can say in a country like Nigeria 90% of the houses are built of cement. When do you go to Southern Africa like South Africa and Namibia, Zimbabwe does not use a lot of cement they prefer to use arbestest you only find about 30% of the house which is using cement. Cement is only used for flooring and plastering. Open the drainage pipes are made out of fibre. Right now some people are even claiming it is better to use glass fibre or only fibre to build

Most people are moving away from cement. When you go 30 years ago you want to build a water tank it has to be concrete or steel. Today 95% of the water tanks are poly fibre or plastic. It is the same thing with building people are moving away from concrete. In fact new research shows that glass is cheaper. Aluminium is also cheaper. One of the biggest problem with concrete is weight and how long does concrete take to dry, so what people are looking for is something which is lighter and can carry more load. Go to America and Canada today 80% of the houses are made out of wood including Sweden Norway even UK. France Germany Italy Portugal 60 per-cent of the houses are made out of wood yrd using wood because it's lighter and can carry load when you have to use concrete or 4 inches you can use wood of 2 inches

Lol a country with $150 billion budget cannot afford tall buildings? You know how ridiculous that sounds?

South Africa’s domestic consumption is about 280kg per person, with the rest of Africa’s domestic consumption being comparatively lower:

In the DRC, it is around 30kg per person.
In Rwanda, it is 50kg per person.
In Ethiopia, it is close to 100kg per person.

Cement and Steel pretty much still a good indicator for the construction industry. But as real estate - maybe not strictly - coz finishing is not cement only.

Thank you also for that, that's a solid submission.

However cement still remains the primary resouse for construction

I belive many don't know that cities are moving away from tall building unless they have a high population rate issues

Gov budget doesnt mean you have a private sector that is thriving enough to create jobs.
If you did Joburg would look like a typical upper middle income country - Turkeys, China, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, etc
Today your Africa exclude Egypt that does 550Kgs per bag.
Kenya is at 160kgs per person

But the time you've lost picture debate - and go into data like poor Ghana - then you're down and out indeed.

adofuro is a new word . Infact among the Yoruba people it is even a taboo to sleep with your wife thru the anus .

Aadufuro used in the link you provided actually was referring to men who sleeps with their woman thru their anus and not necessarily men to men or women to women. The name even suggest it. The man who had sex thru the anus.

There is nothing like gay and lesbianism according to the Yoruba . It is a taboo , irrational and unholy.

There is no where within the 256 odu ifa, where gay and lesbianism is mentioned and do not think because it is not mentioned then it might be practiced , I can send you an odu ifa that gives a logical warning.
It definitely isn't a recent word and the word also refers to those doing it from man to man and yes there are concepts of lesbian sex mainly for ritual purposes concerning Osun or Oya

LGBTQ isn't considered taboo in Yoruba or Igbo culture

Please give me the part of the Odu Ifa where there is a logical warning

Because I have personally talked with two Babalawos and they've both said there's nothing against homosexuality in the odu ifa and they were there and were able to practice in the past in fact they even had a special name I forgot what exactly the babalawo called it I had it on my old twitter account but it was shutdown

Show me any link that shows that Europeans found gay marriages and open homosexuality in Yoruba land when they came or forever shut the fvck up.

If it wasn't frowned upon it would be widely practised. The Yoruba's place a lot of value on child bearing even way back then that barrenness was seen as a curse. Now how could children be produced if they embraced gay marriages like you are trying to prove?

You just read some pro gay nonsense on the internet and run with it. Post what you have if you dare and let me pick it apart. wink
You really think Europeans recorded everything they saw? And even if they did could they tell anything if they saw a women and a women or a man and a man together at any one time why would the assumption be of homosexuality? And where do you think the sources for Igbo female husbands comes from? It's from European scholars in terms of sex between man and man or woman and woman which is what i'm referrring to how are the Europeans expected to get access to such information?

And something that isn't frowned upon doesn't have to be widely practised does it? Homosexuality is a rare phenomenon not occuring for most people so why would it be widely practiced if it isn't naturally occuring for most?

No it'snot what happens in reality it is what happens when you use poor technology and depend on cheap fossil fuels for all your energy needs China and America definitely produce more electricity from coal then South Africa but their levels aren't as high, you'd wonder why at first but the answer is clear the technology is more advanced there

An educated person should know that the words "Adofuro" and "Adodi" are coined words. Derived words. He is probably gay himself like one ugly Kenya that used to be here, Kiberawalker or something.
So being an activist for others rights and fighting against A-historical views somehow makes me gay? Does that mean Essien is gay? I said this before I don't care what the topic is no matter how crude or disgusting it is if that topic is against historical, cultural and religious evidence of any African culture i've studied then I will argue against it I may be wrong I will not lie but so far I haven't been given any sources or evidence to counter my claims and i'm sure my sources are reputable enough for me to trust them but as always I stand to be corrected
