So you think it's standing still? In simpler term you trying to match Johannesburg of 2000s while in 2021 Johannesburg is marching forward.

If you check number of data centers unveiled be Johannesburg metro you'll be shocked, that's more than the east Africa combined... I would have added central Africa but its pointless to do so.

That alone in in Johannesburg

Infact most cities in africa will be bigger than Johannesburg in future.

Jorburg has reached its peak. There is no room for expansion. What you're showing is a mere 17fls which was topped up last year - Nairobi has more than 14 30 +fls under construction, I can prove if you want . We can't count 17fls in Nairobi cos they are just too many for jorburg. Nairobi needs max 8 or less years to catch up with jorburg.

It's not catching up to anything it's still over 200 buildings away unless South Africa were to stagnate in terms of buildings it would take them about 10 years at 20 or so buildings completed year on year but South Africa is still building new things and if either DA or ActionSA come into power then any vision of catching up to South Africa is unlikely

personally I feel ActionSA is the new dark horse in South African politics..... I think they will be kingmaker in several municipalities in Gauteng this November

Like always the DA will have my vote in local elections simply due to the fact that my municipality is the best run municipality in SA.... However national elections it will be ActionSA in 2024

There are many ways to view it we can also say that SA has a total road network is over 700,000km 30percent of which are paved .while that of Kenya is 160,000km 20percent of which are paved.
In terms of Geopgrahical size SA is over 1million square kilometers while Kenya is 580,000.

nope they won't even come close in 2024 however they might surprise in this year's local elections

Also their strong stance against illegal immigrants vs EFFs open border nonsense might actually attract some of the EFF voter base

Son,you can catch up with Jo'burg as long as you grow your economy faster...double digit growth precisely.
Few new buildings can't place u in Jo'burg levels.
A faster economic growth will create alot of demands in real estate,private education institutions, faster and modern city mass transportation, etc
That's what Tz is doing.......aiming for double digit growth so that we can not just overtake Jo'burg, but to be Africa's superpower as well
