What you should be doing. Is post what jorburg is building. Start from roads all the way to commercial offices and buildings. We'll retaliate by posting ours. This cheap threat should stop once and for all. You're nothing to scare us with your low life in a shack .
OK what's the next city/small town I should pull up from Google maps? wink

I think you should overtake kenya first before you dream big.
Kenya has since 2014 risen from no 11 in Africa to no 6.
We are the cusp of Morroco - only 10B dollars difference - that is just one year of growth or two.
Algeria is the next at 150-180B dollars.
After that is South Africa.
Otherwise in Sub-Sahara Africa the list is Nigeria (cooked), South Africa and Kenya - and this is reflected in many indicators.
Nairobi will definitely overtake Joburg in less than a decade unless something catastrophic like a civil war happen.
It almost apparent - the Azanias have to run away from videos and pictures - and start talking statistics like Ghana.

GDP 2020 in Africa - as of last year
South Africa - 301.9 billion USD (2020)
Algeria 145.2 billion USD (2020)
Morroco 112.9 billion USD (2020)
Kenya 98.84 billion USD (2020) - rebased to 107B kshs (roughly 100B).

If you check medium projection - kenya will grow at 6- almost the 7 percent that mean GDP will double in a decade - while South Africa will be at 1 percent - less than population growth.
wrong!!!

"Statistics South Africa estimated the size of the economy at 5.52 trillion rand ($370 billion) in 2020, up from 4.97 trillion rand previously"

- I already posted the links mate.... Johannesburg alone has by now over 14000kms of paved road network vs 20000kms for the entire Kenya

- 21 Universities.... Not colleges and other Tertiary institutions.... If I had to list that it would be in the 100s if not 200s.

- yeah and Johannesburg has the Gautrain and brand new Prasa passenger trains

- Your country has like 1 30000+ stadium.... Johannesburg has 6.....and if we minus those build for the world cup it's still 6 since no new stadiums were built in Joburg only upgraded.

- Nairobi is only expanding due to population growth, in terms of the quality of infrastructure as well as QOL it will forever be miles behind Johannesburg
The emboldened is the figure back in 2017. We've done alot on road infrastructure during 3yrs. And mind you, jorburg is bigger in geographical size. We should also try to view it in that perspective. And by that I mean, if you could just give us the percentage of tarred road network for both jorburg and Nairobi, then your point will hold water.

You're just escaping the fact that Nairobi is catching up with jorburg in the near future. Jorburg infrastructural boom ended after apartheid. The black took over and the rate of development is as low as any southern African countries.

Jorburg as it is is what we're discussing. We're discussing jorburg. I believe Midrand and sandton are just metro close to but outside jorburg. They are just like Kiambu and rongai which we don't count.
your belief is wrong since both Midrand and Sandton are part of City of Johannesburg metro

That is not a city my friend. Tatu city is 5000 acres. Northland city is 10,000 acres. Konza city is 5,000 acres, Ngelani city is 5,000 acres. Kenya gov housing scheme in Nairobi Portland will sit on 15,000 acres.
must I start posting 3 new cities that have already been approved by government in SA?

Dont waste time. This has been done for you. In videos. Watch and listen to this video - Nairobi and kenya 2005 is undergoing TREMENDOUS CHANGE - even many Nairobians are suprised by the changes going on. The entire city is one construction site. Somehow money just keep flowing. There was small lull in 2016 until 2019 - but it's BACK ON - and massive.

Nairobi growth was massive in 70 and 80s - then it got into rough patch in 90s and started growing in 2005 - and now it's starting to hit all gears.

This got me thinking , there is this africa banjul charter that Ghana recently ratify .it is a matter of human right and the protection of the people regardless. How will this law sponsored by sam george not overruling it?

I agree, blocking him to access usa and the rest may signal tension. But I can categorically tell you, america has a solid human right that may really block sam george from entering the usa . It is possible .
I think we can all learn a thing or 2 about jurisdictional laws superceding international conventions.... The US and most European countries have set those precedence.....

USA is the worst place to set as an example of a pillar for human rights today

No problem. Kenya will still overtake ceteris peribus unless you wake up. Kenya GDP will likely triple in 10-15yrs to 300B plus. South Africa since 2010 - you're basically stuck btw 300-400B. It's called the middle class rut.

Like I said nobody count the street paved roads in Nairobi. The roads counted are main arterties - under KURA and KENHA - and now those that residents build themselves or Nairobi County gov - Just get a video of Nairobi - city - and show me unpaved roads.
Unlike South Africa - In Nairobi you cannot build a house or estate without paving the road. These are private roads that are paved - that nobody count.
that probably the most ret@rded thing said today.... If your government doesn't know how much roads there are how the fvck do they maintain them or have control about where private companies build them? Surely you need approval to build infrastructure in kenya?

Thika town as you can see lack of roads

Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 12:30pm On Oct 09, 2021
They are main types of the roads
1) KENHA - main highways - they count and maintain theirs
2) KURA - main urban roads - they count and maintian
3) KENHA - main rural roads.

Those 3 are under KRB - Kenya Road Boards - and those are counted and maintaned by national gov.

4) Roads under counties - these are main streets - but not estate or roads to your driveway.

5) Estate roads - these are private roads. Before your plan is approved - you are required to show how you'll pave the roads.
For example - Tatu city has paved their roads - gov will not go and count those roads.

-Yes and the figure I posted for Johannesburg is also from 2017....and there have been massive developments and upgrades on its road network since then.

- Johannesburg is only 1600km2 and it has a paved road network nearly the size of your entire country.... I've posted the links just yesterday as well

- cool story bro and in 10years you'll still be blabbering about catching Joburg in 10 years

I thought I admitted the paved road outside Nairobi City - in Nairobi metro is a patchy - and that is why we need 10yrs to work on them.

Within Nairobi city itself - it's going to be hard to get unpaved roads outside slums (who occupy 5 percent of Nairobi built up area) - and roads in national parks - that will remain unpaved for ecological reason.

Thika is 40kms from Nairobi.

Nairobi city is circular. Nairobi is about 15-20kms radius from the city center. Nairobi metro start from 20-60kms - radius. Nairobi like Joburg is not a coastal city.
