Nairobi horizontal infrastructure is slowly bridging the gap for jorburg. This is what NMS has done so far on Nairobi streets - they have recarpeted dilapidated roads, fix pedestrian lanes, fix cyclists lanes, order for repainting on old buildings, revive dead projects, modernize the city, ban matatu in CBD etc. Works are still still going on on modernization and streets upgrading.

@ji115 @rvp2018 @AfriqueDuzuid @popazino. watch these video keenly to the end and without engaging banters, rank Nairobi streets on a scale of 1 to 10. cool

You can see how feeble the Kenya journalist mind was? so poorly unprepared .

You don't ask emotional question, on this kind of topic, your question must be scientific and logical.

He was primitive according to your dreary cerebrum, yet he was able to articulate his position on the bill very well and in the process educate the lame lazy larry on the bill he himself failed to understand. Something must be wrong with kenya educational system
.

If rejecting such a bill to you is primitive , then accepting it to me is a typical symptom of lunatic in a society that frowned upon it .

Aid has never really help any nation to develop in the actual sense . The law will be passed. That is certainly sure. Infact it will rather open Ghana to more prosperity.

South africa industrialization started when she was put under sanctioned by the West .

Sanctioning might really help.

Funny enough, all aid to Ghana was cut in 2010 and we are still growing strong....

Waiting for your country to stop depending on aid
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 2:26pm On Oct 11, 2021
This will certainly help you outgrow AID dependency - which you gov has identified as your major stratagem. Kenya had AID cuts in 90s for human rights violation and we outgrew AID dependancy. Rwanda recently got it AID cut and they are slowly building their country.

For Ghana it would be a chance to start growing your own taxes. I am not sure how you will tax your informal economy.

You're still an AID plus mineral dependent country. Your economy is primitive agrarian pre-industrial informal economy. Your legislators are primitive.

You biggest road - that is named George Walker Bush (mass murderer) - was donation. Please rename it to something like Kofi Annan highway - who names a road after a despicable man like George Bush Jnr.

It's decent but like most African cities the length of these "good" roads are limited to the nicer parts of the city....however Nairobi is expanding its road network I agree.

As for catching Joburg..... Well when Nairobi reached 14000kms in road network then will talk wink

I actually found out a link that shows Nairobi paved road network as 2009 was 7,730 - by now - I think it probably very close to 14,000. Within Nairobi city it's rare to see unpaved roads - Nairobi metro yes.

to the Kenya Roads Board (KRB) roads inventory and conditions survey conducted in 2009, Nairobi has a total road length of 14,719 km, 53% (7,730 km) of which are paved [6].

funny enough we are neither aid nor mineral dependent...

Also funny enough my economy is not even agrarian and more sophisticated than yours with a higher manufacturing sector that has made us less dependent on import... I hope your country can get there too.

Get your country Kenya out of the aid business, it is too highly dependent on aid... Even Turkey of yesterday is now aiding you
My country is highly dependent on the service sector...By a tune of almost 60%.

My country biggest road is the motorway and George walker Bush Highway was not a donation but a bribe for us to accept American companies participating in our oil sector.

We can talk about Bush morals all we want but Bush was a good partner to Africa.
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 2:48pm On Oct 11, 2021
Ghana Beyond Aid is a hoax? Maybe you should call your president first and break that good news - that Ghana is now a manufacturing giant like Kenya - that exports 3.5-4B dollars worth of manufactured goods to COMESA - 2nd only to Egypt.

Kenya is one of the leading economies in Eastern and Southern Africa. Intra COMESA exports amounted to US$ 3,480 million in 2006, comprising 29% of total exports, with an ever growing demand for Kenya's manufactured products.

In fact of 6B dollars exports - nearly everything is processed or semi-processed - including tea.

you can keep telling yourself those lies grin grin
Kenya total export is 5 billion dollars and we all know what and what contributes to that..

Anyway, no more lies here. Let's deal with facts.....

Manage to reduce your country import bill from 22 billion dollars to less than 15 billion dollars just like Ghana has managed to reduce it import bill from 18 billion dollars to 11 billion dollars over the last 15 years...

This shows a huge manufacturing boom.

Today, Ghana none cocoa and none mineral exports amount to 7 billion dollars which is still more than your country total export....

Ghana Beyond aid is a huge success that has seen more than 20 billion dollars pumped into the manufacturing sector over just 2 years. We have a boom in factories construction and an expansion in existing ones everywhere

Before this Ghana Beyond aid campaign(which is more like a Ghana Beyond import dependence), all aid to Ghana seized in 2010.... I'm waiting to see Kenya finally stand on it two feets...
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 3:26pm On Oct 11, 2021
Kenya exports are stuck around 5-6B dollars because poor countries like Ghana/Uganda are starting to manufacture basic things.
Ghana export basically cocoa beans and then minerals. You do not even export manufactured goods to Togo or Ivory coast.
You're still doing import substitution - that is BONE HEADED economic policy that we long abandoned in the 1980s.
Nigeria is also onto that import substitution -
Countries that developed - focus on Export Manufacturing -
Kenya imports lots of goods it cannot do otherwise but import.
Oil - 3B - Cooking oil - Machinery - Cars and equipment etc.
We do not import lots of manufactured finished goods.

Anyway, he once stated that local Ghanaian fishermen are multi-millionaires in dollars and that Ghanaians hire Chinese to do mining work...

So I checked out the mining equipment and was astounded...

The mines are owned by the  Chinese, who harass the locals. They are even permitted to carry firearms.

Those Chinese are mining illegally because they have local partners..... You need to research more on Chinese miners in Ghana..
It's either there is a Politician, Chief, rich man etc behind them....They cannot do it on their own..

NB: The illigal Gold mining activities are largely done by politicians thats why when Government asked that they burn their machines it was Politicians that were crying faul but not their chinese partners.

Quick Google search - Ghana imports mostly industrial supplies, capital and consumer goods and foodstuffs. - PRIMITIVE ECONOMY
Versus

Kenya
Kenya imports mostly machinery and transportation equipment, petroleum products, motor vehicles, iron and steel, resins and plastics. Kenya main import partners are India, China, UAE, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, United States and Japan.

Why do you like lying. Only the Chinese know how much gold they get. Black Ghanians are not allowed where gold is seperated. They are busy digging dirt. The farm owners are probably paid a few quids leasing the land or a bribe for chinese to enter forest.

Only the chinese know how much gold they mined and how much they will declare if any -

You can never compare kenya slums with even south africa - leave alone zoos like Ghana and Nigeria.Nearly every slum dweller in kenya has 24hours of electricity
- and water - sometimes or mostly illegally - but they have everything - except space and tittledeed to put in property. Sanitation is a big problem but now they are community toilets. Kibra the houses are saddle without any space for sunlight - I remember walked one day inside it - you walk for a kilometer on dark paths - with shops and thriving business - but it pure darkeness on the tiny footpaths - somehow everyone knows their houses. If you enter a house - you are suprised - they have TV, clean cheap carpet, water and some little furniture..in 8 feet house.
Clown, your country is still behind Ghana when we talk of Electricity transmittion and access ... I won't have time to educate you on that again so keep it in mind okay?
