Hi guys, please I need answer to an issue bothering me, I will really appreciate it if I can get feedback from someone staying in Ikorodu Lagos.

I currently live in a 2bedroom apartment in Lekki Phase 2, I pay about 700-800k yearly on rent only, have been there for 3years now, am just 26years, approaching 27 this December. But I think I'm wasting money on rent yearly, since I live alone, I'm single.

I work online only, so I'm thinking of relocating to Ikorodu, as I'm planning to settle down next year. I will be paying for rent this December but I don't want to renew it here, I want to move to Ikorodu, because it seems I'm wasting the money here. I see listing online for 2/3bedroom flats in Ikorodu for 200k, 300k some 400k. Since then, have been thinking I'm wasting money in Lekki.

Please if you stay in Ikorodu, please share me the cost of 2/3bedroom apartment there, I will prefer open areas.

Improve 4 years ago, people were breaking into homes and using large stones to kill innocent people for ritual.

If you can still afford Lekki, why not downgrade to a selfcon or even better 1 bed apartment.

You live alone in a 2 bedroom apartment is a waste of valuable money.

If I must leave the 2bedroom flat in Lekki, I will still be looking for a 2bedroom flat elsewhere, because I'm planning to get married next year and I wouldn't want to move to a selfcon or 1 room apartment. You have a point, those cheap cost of acquiring apartment in Ikorodu I see online, might be some deadly areas. I will have to do more research.

Ofcourse I care about security Who doesn't care about that? Do you mean Ikorodu is a ghetto?

Depends on the area you are looking at Ikorodu. If you must in Ikorodu don't go beyond Ebute. There are some nice Estates there. However, the rent don't come so cheap.

This is funny, lol.....

I believe the media has helped in scaring people away from ikorodu... I schooled in ikorodu, I stay in my own house and I can tell you first hand; ikorodu is not as terrible as they paint it to be. When you go to the interior part (especially those after ikorodu garage), that when you need to be more concerned cos the only form of security there are the Onyabo (vigilante)... But from garage upward agric, Ebute is fine and safe, I stay at agric... I would be glad to answer any questions you have, that's if you still need it... Good evening!!
