Do you have a better plan to tailored your political factual, do you, are you not part of finding bottle state, to create is some how easier than to maintain. To me, let the government not the ( governor )of the state, under the constitution, have the sovereign power to direct,control and monitor the existing ones now, then the issue of funding and recruitment should be follow later. The surprising and sad thing is that we won't be able to do anything significant , in that regard. We will only grant interviews or analyze the situation on the TV or Newspaper stand BUT they will always do thingz that will help them sustain power, more money and respect!* They don't really care about what we think.

There was state police before and after independence. So, don't say we are not mature for it. Countries far less developed than Nigeria have it. Military heads of state from the north scrapped it to whittle down ability to form a military arm to fight for freedom given the civil war experience. But the Nigeria narrative has changed a lot and we've got to effectively police ourselves if we want to make progress. By the way, tell me one good thing we've benefited from unitary police in Nigeria that has not been eclipsed by 1000 attendant evils. Whatever you may be afraid of in regard of state police, federal (unitary) police has inflicted thousands of its kind on us. So, please let us drop all that argument in our own interests.

Probably you studied criminology to brighten your chances when state police eventually comes or you are a strong political party member. We used to have regional police back then , when Nigeria, as a country has not really become so complicated like this...
Take a cue from the security outfit , OPC and their excesses back then ... Nothing go happen if the New state police personnel misbehaves .. if the persons in power don't want anyone to clinch a particular position , they'll use the security details at their disposal to overstretch your ambition and efforts , that you'd eventually pull out . It's demerits outweigh itz merits . Take that to the bank !

Okay. The same thing your ancestors said before Uthman Dan Fodio and his brothers took over Kwara State from Yoruba. No one is asking you to join in any fight. Facing your enemies head-on is not your strong points. Keep on living in your comfort zone while Oyo State and other parts of the South West are being pummeled with consistent herdsmen onslaught.
