Master storyteller Chinua Achebe captured in a figurative manner the vexed issue of alienation that has remained a stumbling block between the South-East and the rest of Nigeria. Late Chinua Achebe's fictitious society presented some characters in attendance to the new yam festival where a heap of pounded yam is served to invited guests. The heap of pounded yam is so massive that it prevented one man from acknowledging the presence of his inlaw who is at the other side of the dish. After many hours of feasting, the pounded yam is reduced to a level where both in-laws could now see themselves, shake hands over the remnant, and trade banters. Although many would argue that Chinua Achebe's fictitious world has no place in our modern reality, it however explains, in a nutshell, the importance of Iri Iji Ohuu in Igboland. Unlike in Chinua Achebe's Umuofia where the heavy heap of pounded yam meal stands as a wedge preventing both inlaws from acknowledging the presence of each other, the present Igbo society is battling with disunity among themselves and marginalization in the federal setup. Tinubu Presidential Ambition Another Stumbling Block For Igbos?. Although many Igbos believe that now is the right time for the Igbos to actualize the Igbo Presidential Agenda, what they must however also agree with is the fact that Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves it more if APC... https://aprokoarena.com/2023-election-tinubu-presidential-ambition-a-stumbling-block-for-igbo-presidency/ |

Which Tinubu are we even talking about in the first place? Where is the physical strength to even rule Nigeria? The political mistake of 2023 will be more disasterous and cancerous than the one of 2015 that is currently plucking the country into debt. |

Though i would prefer a Fashola, Osibanjo,Fayemi,Amaechi presidency due to d fact that dey are much younger in age and are far far less corrupt and dubious than Tinubu but truth be told ibos are not ready for presidency at all due to their level of disunity and selfishness. The only ibo man that had a resemblance of being a presidential material was okorocha but he was brought down by his own kinsmen cos of greed |
| Re: 2023 Election: Tinubu Presidential Ambition Stumbling Block For Igbo Presidency? by Castrocahn(op): 2:40pm On Oct 15, 2021 |
You are right here. Rochas Okorocha did everything good until his own people decided to destroy his career. Igbos need unity first and they need to learn how to appreciate their own. |

iokpebholo:Which unity are you talking? First of all which tribe are you from.... You guys will just come online and be talking rubbish. Can you backup this your claim that Igbos are not united with any evidence? Because according to reality on ground... Igbos are the most united tribe in Nigeria. So the unity you mean is surpporting corrupt and greedy politician like Rochas? ... If they do you will still be the one to cry that Igbos are supporting their corrupt politicians but are criticizing Tinubu. I know that you must be a Yoruba man... Because u guys can see black and call it white |

Bendeco02:Where is Odùduwà? You people cant face the reality and that's why you're bitter. I deserved to be president just like every other person, but I don't have what they use to play the game for now and that's why you don't see me running around. Every Nigerian deserve it |

Oyinlomobambam:Everyone in Nigeria knows the truth.... Igbos are the most united ethnic group In Nigeria. Most divided is Yoruba but they see it as liberal... They are not united yet come together to fight Nigeria during biafra. They are not united yet have one common religion. They are not united yet gave PDP more than 85% of their votes because of their son Peter Obi. Can yorubas come together to fight and achieve one common goal without having internal enemies against the struggle? Can yorubas deliver 85% of their votes to APC because of Osinbajo? Can they practice one common religion without having internal rivals that are ready to work against the region interest as MURIC is doing? |

Bring out your own candidate and campaign. But you no get. Power is taken, not given. The Presidency will not be zoned to your village. If you want it, come out and fight for it. If you don't fight for it, you have no chance of getting it; because Power will never be given to you on a platter of God. Come out and fight for it or shut the fucck up. |
