This one happened before my very eyes just now. Watching a movie and my TV just developed these colourful lines. Dunno what caused it. TV was connected to a stabiliser. LG web os TV.

What's the fault and how much will I use to fix it? Make these technicians no chop me dry.

It’s either the board has been fried by electricity, or the ribbon connecting the board needs to be cleaned.

if it’s the EU version, you won’t find anywhere cept from those that sells foreign used, or Graded stock. But for the made for African market, contact FOUANI.

I bought my royal tv 5 months ago and I’ve never connected with WiFi , I tried exploring the internet service today after connecting with my phone WiFi and I clicked on YouTube it ask me to download a YouTube version which I did, after downloading I tried playing a video the tv started showing vertical and horizontal line and not giving me a clear picture
What could be the problem

Hold the MENU button REMOTE until 4-digit password screen appears.

If you’re still having issues or can’t access, your remote may be the problem, or your tv may not be LG

Sorry, about this issue,

Try to check the tv software update, and Restart your TV thereafter. If problem persists, it could be a technical fault which coincided with the time of YouTube access.

Sorry about this, sudden issues in TVs could be quite worrisome and bothering. It’s backlight problem

I’m so sorry about your experience, hope your boy was fine afterwards, as that’s more important than a piece of device.

As regarding the TV, only solution is to get the screen replaced, but original screen can’t be guaranteed cos of this quack techs and the unavailability, and things have become expensive now. Though, I don encourage screen replacement.

Sorry about this case.

Remove the batteries, and hold the power button down for a minute (this will discharge power residue). Then, press every single button several times, as they may be stuck due to baby saliva, or some other liquid or even dust, whack at your palm several times, and press all the buttons all over several times. Restore the batteries and use, if not functional, repeat same process.

Then, press every single button several times, as they may be stuck due to baby saliva, or some other liquid or even dust, whack at your palm several times, and press all the buttons all over several times. Thanks GRACEGLORY for your assistance. But I followed the instructions you gave and it's still the same thing. The remote is not still working. I think it's from the settings and not a bad remote issue. I want to know if there Is a way I can factory reset the TV or the remote?

There’s no way tv settings will stop remote control from working, but vise-versa. Except the tv isn’t responding to the remote control, and that could be sensor problem.

If the tv is compatible with remote app, try it out.

May be the ribbon connectors, perhaps, or some components. May not be able to tell specifically until diagnosis takes place. But I’m sure it’s can be rectified.

I still haven't fixed it, though, I approached a technician (he didn't check the TV though) and he told me that I should just forget about the TV and buy a new one which I am not ready for. The TV is a smart one serving vital purposes for me. I just hope I don't have to change the screen and I'm also trying to be careful of these quacks.

I'd love to know your location, if I could bring it over there.
