Borrow? Absolutely not. He knew what he was diving into. Moreover, people like him always do that to test the waters so as to have experience of how Nigerian politics is. The money he spent would have been planned for way before we all knew him.

I'm so sure he knew he might not win but at least y'all have heard his name, and his philanthropy deeds will make his name be remembered even if he doesn't contest for any political post again.

He would be rewarded with contracts by the incoming governor. The new governor wouldn't want to start his duty with distracting court cases. Better to settle them and get to the business of governance
