I really wish that most times you could think things through.

Of course Kanu is a British citizen and even if British government sends a lawyer he has the right to reject them. I am not saying that the British government sent any legal representation for Kanu or that Kanu rejected such offer. What I am saying is that they could have and he could have said no. That is his right.

The difference between Western world and Africa is that pressure group out there have a long reach and power to influence government decisions.

Mind you, I am not saying that this single event will amount to anything out there but this single event and others happening translate to building a pattern of judiciary overreach in Nigeria.

Those that understand how pressure group works and what they need to do go against anyone, know that on international level every government try to present their best selves before the world.

First, the man didn't come to Nigeria to practice law.

Secondly, it was not only the White man that was denied access. Some of Kanu's Nigerians lawyers were also denied access.

As a matter of fact, the walk out by his lawyers was not because of the white man but because their Nigerian colleagues were not allowed in.

Now, head or tail, the more Nigeria hold Kanu without trial, the more the Struggle for Biafra gains momentum.

In struggles like this, Mr. Kanu in detention will hurt Nigeria more on the long run than him being out.

That his lawyers staged a walk out is not good for the already battered image of Nigeria.
