Theodore John Conrad left his job at the Society National Bank, Pubic Square, Cleveland on Friday in July 1969 with $215,000 in cash, equivalent to more than $1.7 million in today's money.

He was never seen again.

Authorities pursued the case for 52 years.

Conrad changed his name, lifestyle and the details of his past .

He had a family, became a local golf pro and sold luxury cars in a small town north of Boston.

U.S. Marshall's finally tracked him down within the last week but Conrad had died in May, 2021 at the age of 71 from lung cancer.

The robbery was only discovered after Conrad didn't show up for work the following Monday.

When the bank checked their vault, they found out the cash and the employee were missing having had two full days to make a clean getaway.

A photofit, seen left, was produced to help the public track him down after claims he'd been spotted in Hawaii in 2017... Although ultimately it looked northing like Conrad.

He had been living an unassuming life in the Boston suburb since 1970.

His home is pictured.

Seventy isn't too old to change profiles so his children can enjoy an uninterrupted life.

That was a whole lot money then and could have lasted anyone that long in the US. But in my country, one stupid politician can spend that on a girl in less than 72 hours. Nigeria ehn.
