Can't NFF identify better nigeran players /descents and talk to their parents directly ? Saka was there idle before Britain pounced on him, there are better nigerians abroad than almost the selected players we are parading. Sack the dumb coach first and put people like mikel obi that have trained under many world class coaches sef go better pass this man in charge.

This is not true...Yes, Super Eagles not where they should be, but Cape Verde are no minors ..forget the FIFA ranking, they are yet to lose 6 straight away matches!

That being said, SuperEagles would have killed this game at the firsthalf...save for the Cape Verde Goalkeeper with about 4 saves.

Nigeria had to be a bit cautious at the secondhalf, overzealousness can be their downfall...they conceded a stoppage time goal against CAR not long ago...so, they need to be careful.

Overall, it was a better performance compared with how they played against Liberia.

The big question is, which of the teams that will qualify for the knockout round can they beathuh They will seriously need to do far better to beat any team right now.
Mali, Dr Congo..... very beatable.

The stupid NFA had to recall an ageing Ighalo, who plays in an obscure Saudi Arabian league. When we have young players playing in Europe doing so well, that needs to be given opportunity. This country is sick.
The minutes Ighalo wasted on that pitch is painful. How do we play an old leg for that long in a match that needs agility. Our love for the old is nauseating

Which Saka was idle?

Which Nigerian players are better than those already in the team?

You can say that Rohr is not a great coach..

But his player scouting is topnotch..

for how long they want to play that one? You think there is time for that abi you want to cancel league because of this... It is just home and away match and that's all
It’d seem fair to go by this because some teams are easier than others
Qatar World Cup is in November or December
It’s possible
Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco are no joke

[quote author=gentiles post=107682647]I pray Nigeria meets either Algeria or Egypt in the next round, so that the super eagles will not go to the World cup. That's the only thing that can wake us up from Slumber. I pray they never qualify for Qatar.[/quote

Fair enough.

Rohr has to go, the play offs will be brutal. We will be exposed and severely punished by a well organized team.

Extremely saddening that Rohr has not improved this team since he took over, we are playing poorly.

We just dey postpone the evil day.

This our coach is completely out of ideas, he's paid his dues and should go.

And this Lagos Stadium doesn't favour the Super Eagles at all, 1st match there we lost to a nonentity, 2nd match we drew. Haba our own Stadium come dey do us like away match huh huh huh

Honestly, the only team I think will be less harder for Nigeria is Ghana because those ones too na werey football dem dey play these days. On paper, anyone of Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Cameroon/Ivory Coast, Tunisia will make it hell for us.

The way you put VERY for your beatable is laughable...Mali top their group with massive 16pts! Group that had Uganda and Kenya. Dr Congo just edged group that had Benin Republic..

See, Super Eagles will need to up their game...

African teams are not so easy..

Algeria had to hold on to a 2-2 draw against Burkina Faso at home for that matter..to qualify for next round

If you know how much the nfa is making by keeping musa in the team to make history with number of caps, you won't bother yourself on why ighalo with Saudi money is back in the team

What some of you don't realized is there is no minor country in world football now. In Africa, anything can happened . You are only looking at it just anyhow. There are a lot of behind the scene that do happened. Who will believed that central African can defeat us in Lagos. You need to be careful in all your writing against this team.
guy go watch highlights of this weeks European qualifiers. Make you see the results

Never seen a people who hate their country as much as Nigerians lol

When the country fails they rejoice

Hope Nigerians get the breakup they so desire so very one can finally be happy or miserable with their own kith and kin

Tired of sharing a country with non patriotic elements
That's what you think, you can't have hope in a transit vehicle the driver isn't ready to drive, to think and Igbo man would want to leave a positive news making nigeria

Topnotch indeed for bringing ighalo, we are not lacking strikers but creative/offensive midfielders. Ighalo is surplus to requirement.

We are currently 5th on FIFA ranking, we cannot play any team ahead of us...

Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia (if they qualify), Morocco is out of equation.

So, we are meeting anyone of Mali, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Egypt and DR Congo

Only five African teams will be at the World Cup, and since there are ten groups in the Qualifiers, the ten group winners will advance to the playoffs round where each will be pitched against another team in a home/away format.

Sure bro. Thanks for reminding me. We'll definitely be one of the seeded five teams. I'll prefer to face Mali out of the second teams though.
