Kenya uses all: AKs, M4 and SCAR H and has real ground experience in Somalia , it has chosen to adopt the scar as the standard infantry weapon

Depending on the training and distance. M16 is an assault rifle designed to deliver semi auto shot at effective range of 500m (during WWII they found out that the average distance of engagement was 500m) while the SCAR H is a semi automatic battle rifle designed to deliver rounds at distances of up to 800m. The two rifles were designed for different purposes that's why countries using SCAR H usually deploy SCAR L for other troops while the H is reserved for troops acting the Designated Marksmen role.

And about who score more accurate hits, depends on the training the soldiers have on using a certain system. Suppressing the enemy, most militaries have a machine gunners on their team who lays heavy cover fire. Punching light covers RPG are more effective and are more commonly used. Body armor, depends on the type used. The NATO 7.62 isn't effective at penetrating all body armor and is not that effective against level III body armor.

All these rifles can be found in Kenya. But the most common one is M16 and FN scar. To some point, HK416 was also used during the westgate terror rescue.

Youare mistaking the M14 for the M16....the M14 was prone to jamming hence why it was dumped

FN SCAR has been dropped from the selection process of US military new weapon platform to replace the M16 and M4.

They dropped it because it didn't come with as much advantage as the M16... That makes it not good.


The weapon that they will most likely select for their entire military will be the 6.8mm NGSW from General Dynamics
