That is what we're talking about? We lag in numbers but we triumph in Quality. By quality, I mean the level of excellence by those weapons.

AR does not stand for Assault Rifle

Its an abbreviation of the name of the original producer of the rifle grin grin
I wasn't referring to the AR you muppet.....

Youare mistaking the M14 for the M16....the M14 was prone to jamming hence why it was dumped

FN SCAR has been dropped from the selection process of US military new weapon platform to replace the M16 and M4.

They dropped it because it didn't come with as much advantage as the M16... That makes it not good.

The weapon that they will most likely select for their entire military will be the 6.8mm NGSW from General Dynamics

That weapon is superb
Dude I ain't confused wink

The M16 like the M4, AR15 ect ect all use a Direct impingement firing system which is prone to jamming.

The FN Scar uses a short-stroke gas piston firing system which is very reliable and very similar to the AK.....its a good rifle, not great but it won't give you sh1t in tough condition like the M16 and m4

jeezez I know bru!!! Read my sentence and you'll see I didn't once even mention the AR15 and was specifically talking about Assault rifles and using AR as an abbreviation for that.

the fact that it's the dominant shooting bullet of the US military shows it superiority..

The wound report I posted shows it superiority grin
Preference due to reliability is not superiority.
There are way more superior ammo but that doesn't mean 5.56 is superior since it is used by US military.
The mere fact that 7.62 x 51 has more energy than 5.56 makes it superior end of story.

you see how it is just a straight wound?

You see how it's fragmentation is lesser than the 5.56 hence lesser secondary wound?

It has it own problems and won't won't even survive what the M16 has survived.... And that is why scar is not trusted.

Not unless you can prove it.
As an infantry on the battle field carrying out an assault, you don't need weight drawing you down.
Infantries rejected it in 1954 and they've done same again.

You are clown fragmentation seems to be your newly discovered term.
Prove to me that the 5.56 wound is more lethal/ superior than a Lapua magnum.338

about this........

On 28 November 2020, Boko Haram militants slaughtered as many as 110 farm laborers in Koshebe village, located near Borno State's capital Maiduguri. The victims were tied up by the assailants and their throats slit in the village, an anti-Boko Haram militia told AFP news agency. On 29 November, UN Humanitarian Coordinator Edward Kallon said that armed men had arrived on motorcycles and proceeded to massacre the workers. Boko Haram has killed more than 30,000 since 2009. An attack near the village of Gubio in June 2020 resulted in 81 deaths. In October 2020, Boko Haram carried out two separate attacks in fields near Maiduguri, slitting the throats of 22 farmers.

Expect an Isis attack on Kenya soon. This was disclosed by anonymous and many other military sources a few weeks back.
There experiment with Nigeria has proved futil. Now they would focus funding to other parts of Africa Almost ten years and they still haven't advanced from their caves in borno. Not even Iraq, Syria or aghfanistan military could boast of this great achievement.
For years keyans have been in this thread pointing out and criticizing the effectiveness of the Nigerian military against this enemy we will see how it own military will perform.

grin grin grin grin i know you didnt mean to post that..

Anyway, how do you describe suffering? I'm stumped. You can have a hundred dead people in Naija in a day and still think everything is fine. Perhaps you've become accustomed to the pain. Kenya has five people killed, and the rest of the world is in mourning. Have you noticed a pattern here, bro? cheesy

There are two categories of people who have camped on this forum, I've discovered. The plagiarizers and the googlers. You engage a person here, and he just keeps googling things without even realizing what the conversation is about. Then there are those that plagiarize and claim it as their own. It's a disgrace.
They're all waffas (as kyk1 calls them ) grin

Something about the poverty of this topic mixed with the poverty Nairalanders live in is what keeps this thread alive and kicking till this day.

the fact that militaries around the world have adopted it instead of 7.62 and Russia adopted a very similar calibre to the 5.56(5.45×39mm) instead of the 7.62 is proof enough
