Is this a sabotage or what how can a whole professor make this kind of elementary mistake? shocked
Professors are first human, thesame as pastor's that are never Angels. Sometimes they do get it wrong because they still wear thesame dirty human covering called flesh which you are also putting on like garment. Flesh is answerable to this earthly space. Are you a spirit?

Soludo can't be that of a dunce. If he erroneously applied for a different seat than that of a governor, how will INEC also make the same mistake of clearing him for an electorally non available seat at the time of application. It's all a hoax or a wild goose chase!

Thanks

This is the sort of strong argument you would expect from Soludo's counsel, not the rather weak "jurisdiction" gimmick

Wish you were Soludo's lawyer...

It isn't...

He erroneously applied for a different seat as alluded by his attorney, Onyechi Ikpeazu SAN. This is what Soludo's attorney said:

Lawyer for APGA and Soludo, Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), argued that the suit was without merit and that the court lacked jurisdiction.

Ikpeazu contended that error in an affidavit cannot be a basis to disqualify a candidate from election, noting that the false information contemplated in Section 31 of the Electoral Act was criminal in nature.

It is a dangerous error and INEC doesn't have the power to disqualify any candidate, only the Courts.

However, I believe with the right technicality he will scale through....we saw this in APC v Obaseki and AGI v PDP.

Worse still, his own deputy also filled Awka South 2, from reports.

It is a dangerous error and INEC doesn't have the power to disqualify any candidate, only the Courts.

But nomination forms or mistakes surrounding that affidavit are criminal in nature.
How can my own Prof and Lecturer be making this kind of mistake?

Not so. The person that came second in Apga primaries will become the governor. Read up the case of Amaechi and Omehia in Rivers State.

Fatal error. Soludo may be gone. You cant be given what you have not contested for.
Did he fill the form for Aguata 2 OR WAS THERE VACANCY IN THE AGUATA 2?

DID HIS PARTY SUBMIT HIS NAME FOR ANY OTHER POSITION.. REMEMBER THE PARTY owns THE TICKET AND THEY gavE IT TO HIM EVEN IF HE DECLARED FOR COUNSELLOR or gatemen POSITION

Is the information criminal in nature or confer any benefit on him

Here we go again. Technicality is a double edged sword that can go either way.

How come INEC has his name on the ballot? This was an error that will just merely be corrected. The people of Anambra wants Soludo and he has won, end of story.

The case of Amaechi and Omehia has been overthrown. That was subject to the Electoral Act 2006. Electoral act 2010 has set it aside.

Section 141 of the Electoral Act 2010;
“An election tribunal or court shall not declare any person a winner at an election in which such a person has not fully participated in all the stages of the election”

Very true but when you consider Agi v PDP...You discover the Courts usually don't go down that route at the expense of 177 & 181.

In Agi's case, he said it was human error from his aides.
Obaseki said the photocopier machine was not clear enough.
Soludo's own might be that his aides were carried away, you know!

They don start, they wan give fourth runner up the position.
Bros, read, read and educate yourself naa? If you'd read and paid attention, you will realize that in Imo, Hope came forth cos lots of his votes were rejected. He went to court and won and his then rejected votes were accepted, period. Stop following igbere news, Yoruba news and all the prop[aganda, follow the actual events that happened. In the election between Shagari and Awolowo, the Yoruba press said Awolowo that was a regional politician won the elections and that was rumour and believed by so many westerners, now reality shows, its impossible for Awolowo to win and they'd said 2/3 rule was used against them but that was part of the constitution and electoral process. So, my broda, follow the facts.

I see APC trying to nulify Soludo's victory, I see them loosing in the court, I see the court upholding Soludo's victory and canceling the disqualification charges levelled against him.

This I have seen.
Why did you not see PDP taking over if Soludo loses? You be prophet at all so?
