Well, Rohr has qualified us for at least one world cup.

The problem is, Nigeria doesn't have enough good players, and a good league strucuture as well as a good youth structure.

When the foundation is bad, don't expect miracles.

Belgium that is the best in the world now, once upon a time they were beaten by all and sundry. In 2002, their FA started fixing the problem by fixing the youth structure first...and now here they are.

Nigeria needs to first fix the way we play football, fix the way we bring up young players, fix our footballing facilities, fix funding , and end overaged player nonsense, then we can talk about having a decent enough team for the world cup.


p.s Rohr is a bad coach, but changing him now won't fix the problems.

True that, although Cameroon and Algeria really were useless then. When a whole Cameroon is struggling against Zambia (1-1 draw) and Cameroon allows Nigeria to beat them 4-0 at home (note that Cameroon and Nigeria are supposed to have a rivalry)...something's up.

And Zambia also somehow managed to come second in the same group, when logically on past form they should have been last.

We need to develop our league and a long term strategy for coaches. Nigeria should not be coached by foreigners anymore when we have so many people like Amokachi, Okocha, Babayaro, Mikel and so on.
They should be the future of our coaching

Amaju pinnick is a very corrupt individual I remember how his brother uduagan who was then the governor of delta state helped him to become the nff president he bribed all the state delegates in warri for him to get to that office he clearly doesn't have what it takes to be in that office. Am absolutely sure he has a percentage he is collecting from rohr's $20k monthly salary that's simply why he has refused to sack him.
