The US top diplomat’s motorcade drove into the presidential complex at about 3.47pm on Thursday for a meeting with the president.

After the meeting, Blinken is expected to proceed to the office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo where some agreements between Nigeria and the US will be signed.

Blinken will subsequently hold a joint press conference with Geoffrey Onyeama, minister of foreign affairs, before departing the presidential villa.
