it's not uncommon for manufacturers to claim things that turn out not to be true.

Listen to soldiers who know the difference between Assault Rifle and Battle rifle Rubbish it.. Seal Team and SOCCOM all know it to be a battle rifle

The only variant that comes close to an assault rifle is the L variant.
