sex scenes adds nothing to realism when in reality sex is supposed to be a private affair. Filmmakers only add it to excite audience.
Filmmakers frequently use sex scenes to depict intimacy. A romantic theme devoid of sex scenes is like a car devoid of tyres; it is incomplete.

It adds nothing if we are being honest. It could just be implied.

A movie main purpose is to tell you a story and also provide you the experience, like you’re are in the picture itself. So, sex scenes are important in movies, even though some director misuse or overuse them. If you say it shouldn’t be shown but implied, imagine this movie -Saving Private Ryan without the opening scene, it would take away an important part of the movies if it was removed.

Ethan Hawke has had one of the most underappreciated runs of good films of any actor in recent memory. It's amazing to see how talented this man is. He's completely devoted to his craft. To put it in another way, if he's in a movie, there's a good chance it's a good movie.
Exactly!! And that's why I downloaded the movie without giving it a second thought. The guy is really underappreciated. I'm definitely watching that movie because of him no matter what ratings or appraisals say.

I remember a lot of battles in Game of Thrones were only made known through conversations.
Jamie Lannister was overhyped to be a seasoned warrior but his battles was never shown.

The books give more details...Some regard him as the best swordsman in the series...

Personal rating and IMDB's ain't the same.

I could decide to rate it 3/10 if I like.

You can. All you need to do is give the impression that there was a fight. No need for all that gratuitous violence.

It's a good film in its own right, but I think it falls short of the source material. Some of the motivations and relationships in the film, for instance, were altered. If you're a die-hard fan of the book, the changes might irritate you. I wish it had stayed closer to the book; I thought it had a lot more depth and the revenge was more satisfying.

Unfortunately books come out first before the movies, cos it'll be better to watch the movies first before reading the book. This is because most times, the movies don't measure up with the book.

Also, watching the movies first will help give you a clearer pictorial reality while reading the book.

Novels serve as inspiration for film scripts. Where would a film's content come from if it was released before a novel? We've all seen what happened with Game of Thrones' final season, where the content outpaced the source material; the writers couldn't draw from the source material because it didn't exist at the time, so they ended up making a mess of everything.

Furthermore, it wouldn't feel right to watch a movie before reading the novel it's based on because novels, by design, have much more depth, content, and layers. Watching a film before reading the book is akin to putting the cart before the horse.

Nope, I disagree with the bolded. Watching a movie before reading a book is like having a preamble before getting the detailed content. All movies that were made from books didn't do justice and many who read the books and watched the movies, complained about how terrible and less detailed the movies were.

Those who watched Angels and Demons without reading the book enjoyed the movie whilst those who had read the book before watching the movie were disappointed.

Some films are loosely adapted in the sense that they tell a different story despite the fact that the theme is largely unchanged. It would be a mistake to watch such a film before reading the novel because a lot will be lost in translation. You'd have no idea what's going on. Therefore, it's always a good idea to read the novel first to familiarize yourself with all of the facts, before venturing into the film.

This is simply untrue. There have been movies that have improved on their source material. I had the privilege of seeing four of them.
