There's money in Nigeria. It's interesting to note that most multibillion naira acquisitions are done by Nigerians and Nigerian companies. Even the assets of Shell were acquired by Transcorp and Heirs Holding , BOC too is now 100% owned by Nigerians while Shoprite was acquired by a Nigerian too.
I pity those who focus on the negatives and miss out on their blessings. If you curse the land, it will withhold its blessings from you.
Congratulations to FMN. God bless Nigeria.

This is complete acquisition aimed at monopoly of the flour market...if the SEC knows what its doing they will enact the anti trust clause and breach this thing

When things like this happens, it usually leads to a lot of anxiety, you won't sleep well knowing U could be laid off, colleagues from your last place of work could then laugh at you.

I went through sort of thing a few years ago, I don't want another one so soon after.

It will affect the staff. There will be duplication of duty. For example, Honeywell may have a sales manager for a particular area and Flour Mills also, when both businesses merge, you only need one sales manager for that area. Ergo, one has to be sacked. If there is no consolidation of jobs, then how does the merger help the business. One way of cutting costs after merger is to consolidate jobs.

And yes, new staff are first to go as they will get less severance pay. Severance is usually determined by years spent working.

This is a big problem cos Flourmills would now dictate whatever happens in the flour mkt.
They can easily play with the price without recourse

What percentage of the mkt share do they control.

Flourmills and Honeywell used to ve the largest mkt share merging their mkt share togeda, Flourmills would definitely be controlling more than 50% of d mkt share and with this, they would dictate the price in the mkt.

Once Otudeko was stripped out of FBN looting, the useless thief is now nakked on the streets. The old thief is nothing without the poor masses money. In order for Oba Otudeko to repay the loans he took from FBN, he has to sell out the fraudulent company Honeywell Flour Mills.

You need to think deeply before making comments in public forums. If you had read the public statement released by his Son, you would have understood their new way of thinking. Honey Group is transforming into an Investment or Holding company. I believe whatever they get from the sale will be ploughed into other businesses where they won't necessarily have controlling shares.
