West African Body, WAEC Increases Examination Fees To N18,000, Blames Inflation, COVID-19

The fee was hiked from N13,950 to N18,000 starting from 2022.this is unfair. A lot of parents go through hardship to pay school fees. Writing the waec at that amount doesn't guarantee an automatic pass or a refund after failing. This body should be considerate. God dey sha. These students will still face jamb stress too o. All of Una wey dey make like difficult for us, God go reason una mata.

Interestingly, by the time average parents pay through their sweat, then WAEC will tell us they have return billions into government covers being surplus..... You are causing someone pain just for you to get undeserved credit.. 'emura-si'

Schools go dey charge 25k now
If they charge 25k we go happy na.
My children's school charged 40k per candidate for this 2021 set.
That was for registration alone oo.
Add terms 2 & 3 fees, the amount clocks 210k.
I wonder what they'll charge now that they've increased the registration fee.
Hmmmmmmmmm...

25k for where! Even when the original price was 13k plus, some were already charging 50k. Now that the original price has been increased to 18k, expect those school owners to inflate the price to a higher amount again.
Private schools. When I wrote in a government school, it was way cheaper. About 6 or 8k

Lesser people to register next year. Buhari want to destroy everything.
Later they come with humongous profit. APC Suffering.
Get sense, the federal government has nothing to do with WAEC. WAEC is a non governmental organization operating in five English speaking West African countries.

Everything is not politics.

Do not blame WAEC.Examiners ,invigilators and supervisors are demanding for pay rise to cover their transportation cost.
If they withdraw their services, who will do the herculian task with a meager pay done just once or twice a year for a double pay that is not even up to 30k minimum wage if u participate in two WAEC markings in a year.Teachers are really suffering. What will d money buy u in the market today?
