As for Kenya the medium term prognosis is great - 6-8 percent growth - and GDP will probably triple by 2030 - reachin South Africa current levels.
Kenya is going to close it's infrastructure deficit.
Kenya is growing to urbanize - I think now one fastest urbanization rates - at around 4% annually.
Kenya is demographically transitioning - as population control has now bore fruits.

In the first half of 2021, the South African economy recovered more quickly than

rates, support from strong international demand and higher commodity prices.
We now expect the South African economy to grow by 5.1 per cent in 2021, from a

Over the next three years the growth of the local economy is expected to average 1.7
per cent, reflecting some structural weaknesses such as inadequate electricity supply.

The long-term decline in South Africa’s GDP growth rate (Figure 1.1) is the
result of structural weaknesses in the economy – including poor education
outcomes – and external shocks . Weak growth is compounded by the rapid
increase in public debt (Figure 1.2), which has raised borrowing costs
across the economy. Faster economic growth requires determined
implementation of policy reforms to promote confidence, investment,
competitiveness, entrepreneurship and job creation.
