A12-year-old student of Dowen College, Lekki Phase One, Lagos, boy has been beaten to death by his fellow school mates.

The little boy identified as Sylvester Oromoni Junior, was beaten to death for refusing to join a cult group in his school.

A relative of the deceased, identified as @Perrisonoromoni on Twitter who shared the news disclosed that his 12 year old cousin was battered on Friday but died on Tuesday after a series of tests and X-rays indicated that he sustained internal injuries.

Noting that the boarding school costs over a million naira, @Perrisonoromoni disclosed that the school authorities had told the deceased’s father, Sylvester Oromoni, a Delta state politician, that the boy sustained injuries while playing football at the school.

However the hospital he was taken to by his father confirmed that the boy was bullied and sustained internal injuries after he was allegedly beaten up.

Let your kids go to a day school.
Boarding houses are such a bad idea in Nigeria presently.
Even in day schools kids are molested everyday talk more of a boarding house.
But do u know the difference and y day is better, you get to see your kid everyday and u can monitor the child/easily detect bullying and molestation that's if u are a caring parent.

No teacher will train your child.
Parents the responsibility of training your child lies in your hands and not in the school.


Gone are the days boarding school was a site of discipline. Now it's a site of great immorality.
The world is going bad morally. What you need is to closely monitor your kids and not to send them away in the hands of strangers.

I pray the perpetrator are caught and given due punishments.
