In a sense it’s semi open since it does produce steel but at minimal capacity, ffs it’s been pretty much completed for over 20 fucking years and the Nigerian government refuses to use it. Why?

Why though? The factories already built and can be turned on at any time and is but the Nigerian government refuses to run the dang thing at full capacity at a time where oil is revealing itself to be unstable for the economy and when they openly show support for opening up every other steel mill besides the ajoatuka one

It’s like the entirety of the Nigerian government colllectively had a stroke and wolk with a plan that they executed and then refused violently to actually work on and now officials are looking to privatize the mill instead of fucking using it right after they built it, shit pisses me the Bleep off and makes me question how moronically corrupt and lazy officials can actually be
