EPIES are EDOIOD not IJAW

They don't hide it, and they don't also hide their disdain for Ijaws
Force them to go and join the Edoid group and ask them to leave all Ijaw socia-cultural organizations they belong since Na u wan tell them their Ancestors.
How come all their chiefs u guys posted are answering same name like other Ijaw areas.

Please Epies are not Ijaws.

I didn't know about this until I visited Akenfa, Yenagoa. Those Epies told me blankly that they are not Ijaws.

They don't even speak the same language.
Don't these people have educated folks? More of them need to come out and be telling their own stories. We are being sold so many lies in Nigeria and it has to stop.

Your claims are not valid. There are lots of people bearing igbo names in Bayelsa and Cross River yet they are not igbos. How do you explain that?

The OP didn't author this post. The name of the author is clearly spelt out. So why don't you pretend to be civil and intelligently dispute claims instead of this loud and roguish attitude you are displaying here.
Imagine making several posts on a thread without adding any intellectual value.

Someone needs to caution you as you are becoming a nuisance.

Ekealterego:
I did not write this article, Epie's foremost journalist did. He is the public relations officer did. Mr. Etete
so what have you an Igbo man got to do with it?
Why is it your business??
You and your cohorts go about bringing fake epistles that has been binned to claim Bonny and Opobo.
After you failed in your online quest to sensitize people with falsehood after I exposed and scattered your lies, you dedicate your time now to bring disunity on an Ethnic group that barely even come into Igbo land to do business, but stay on their own.

If you aren't writing about Bonny, you're writing about Opobo, if it isn't Opobo, you're writing about my own Nembe, even if it isn't Nembe, you're spreading falsehood about epie, if it isn't epie it is ogbia.
Young Man, mind yourself, this is not your purpose in life.
Is this your destiny? If it is, then you're settling for less.
No one from the ijo Ethnic nation is coming to write about abakiliki not being Igbo or abriba being akwa ibom.
Concentrate on the people of your Ethnic nationality.
I love the igbos very much including their women(more especially)
Mind your business.

Eppies are Ijaws.... They are even more Ijaw than I do.... So your pain and frustration end only on Nairaland......

Bye bye
Even the intonation, and the way they pronounce words, they are pure ijo.
Leave that clown.
That is there next agenda.
Since they were exposed in Bonny and Opobo, they rallied to bring disunity.
They are already failing.

Are all of you from the same mother or what , because you all sound alike. For instance, you have no regard for historical research carried out by neutral bodies without ulterior intentions.

Your counters are usually monosyllabic , empty, and filled with frustrated responses like "go and claim they in physical. " Historical research has been cited numerous times on this topic and not once was Ijaw ever mentioned at Bonny , but here you are talking about exposing people. Are you drunk or what ?

And it was not because there were intentions to cheat and marginalize Ijaw, but they simply don't have a habitable area of land where a capital could be sited. Their lands are mostly swamp. Remember they never owned lands in these places till recently, like 19th century, when they started trickling into the coastal communities.

Ijo is an Ethnic nationality.
It has over 60 clans.
(I'll advice you to go and look them up)
Ijo wasn't wealthy or influential, but it's descendants were.
Just as Eri wasnt or barely mentioned in any European text, so is ijo.
Just because the European called y'all heebo or Igbo or ebo doesn't disconnect you from your patriachal ancestor Eri.
The Europeans mentioned other clan, but these clans trace their ancestry to ijo.
Every coastal dwellers know this. And I am not even a pure ijo man.

Truly God blessed the Epie-Atissa people... how could the pure solid land be given to a people when the rest of the state is a bayou.

Eri is not the progenitor of the Igbo race , but merely the leader of a migration that gave rise to Nri people. Nri people are chiefly found in Anambra and Anioma/Enuani. I am a decent of Oji Okodu , an Nri man who settled at a place called Abatete and his descendants spread to Umuoji and Umudim -Ideke /Nkpor. Therefore your comparisons of Eri to Ijaw is grossly flawed because whilst Eri is not the name of an ethnic group Ijaw is.

Secondly, Bonny , Kalabari , Okrika , Brass and the rest has no tradition nor legend that trace their origin to Ijaw, except the ones manufactured by you people.

Nevertheless even Epie does not have one ancestors among its villages talk more of Atissa clan that are Tarakiri people.
