This sly death is really revealing a lot happiness secondary school

Look at the tiny things bullying people bayi.

Things fall apart! This one is out because someone died and the parents are rich.
A visit to some government schools or community schools will shock Nigerians especially the rate of cultism in secondary schools.

Na only God fit help us from this mess.

Bullying in boarding schools has always been there in spite of school authorities threatening bullies with suspension or even expulsion.
The boarding system should not be totally condemned. Many products of boarding school experienced bullying at some point but still emerged to be successful today.
Of all the thousands of boarding schools in Nigeria, Sylvester's case was just an isolated case of bullying gone wrong. & being an elite school prompted the public outcry.

Bullies are in every school

The pronouncements just varies.

I hope parents will take better care of their children now because bullying can lead to death, suicide, injuries, physical and emotional lifelong scars if we don't act immediately! We have to realize IT'S NOT NORMAL TO BULLY OR BE BULLIED! My son said he wasn't going to school today because a boy punched him yesterday. I raised hell in their school and we got apologies from the school and the perp. I know on a good day, the management would have said it's just children playing. But thanks to the voices of people crying out now (sadly after an unfortunate turn of events), they now know that kicking and punching is not normal!

So sad! The aberrant behaviour/trend have been condone over the years with the thinking it is the norm especially in Nigeria's military training institutions(Depot, NDA).

Soon Nigerians will see beating of their children as bullying and they'll stop it.

In fact when my generation become parents, they won't be beating their children again because they know the terrible psychological consequences.

Nigeria is improving, we are moving forward. This was how America and Japan started.

See if u attended a government secondary school you would know what bullying and cultism is...private school kids are just so overpampered...is this one bullying?... Sylvester's death was a very sad one though...but worse cases happens in government schools daily...

The pain of my story is too much to remember and share. At the time I was ignorant and very afraid of threats from Seniors.

Up till today, I've always hated my secondary school days.

None of my children will ever attend a boarding house and hopefully not in Nigeria.

If you attend Government/Public school bfre 2000 you know Bullies is normal, Senior students are gods of the school. In my school Senior students will beat you, punish you and Teachers wul not do anything infact I uprooted tree to serve as punishments bfre I became Prefect and I bullied the junior ones too anyway I later regret it sa cos Seniority is not forever.

In Nigeria people get bullied everywhere and anywhere, I was bullied by a policeman yesterday, will I now remove myself from Nigeria. Instead of fighting the system that encourages bullying, you are busy fighting inconsequential thing. I hope you lock your children in the house when you born them, so that nobody will bully them. I went to boarding school and I can say, it's the best platform for a growing child. I can now survive anywhere in the world even in Antarctica. All my children must go to boarding school.
