Hello Esteemed Nairalanders,

I need your expert opinion please.

Our company is planning to build a standard 3 Star hotel in the Niger Delta region. Opinion is divided between engaging a corporate building contractor to handle the project or to use direct labour. In our previous dealings, individuals have disappointed us so this time we want to try corporate builder with good reputation but the fear is that it might be too expensive.

Builders and other experienced persons in the house, what do you recommend? What are the pros and cons of each option? Do you have any other option?

Do you know good contractors in Delta, Anambra or Rivers State that can do good job? If yes, post their website or corporate brochure please.

I think is best, you go for a reputable Construction firm. For the structural works, after the building carcass you can decide your suitable method for the finishing job. Going for a lump sum contract will be really expensive considering price fluctuations.
