Abia State was created in 1991 and for the most part had military administrators until 1999.

Orji Uzo Kalu became the civilian governor in 1999. OUK is a scumbag. Every governor that came after him (Theodor Kalu and Okezie Ikpeazu has been horrible. Orji Uzo Kalu set a bad precedent and has had a hand directly or indirectly in the election of his successors. Abia is a great state with great Human Resources. They just have to find a way to break the jinx.

Edo might even be the worst. The truth is Civil servants under Edo State Government pay roll, are scared of Obaseki. Seems the Governor jazz them. Both State and local Government workers in Edo have been receiving their salaries in percentage.
