We already had 3 leftbacks before Emerson was sent out. Emerson is sent out with hopes of a transfer materialising.

We could not even get loans for RLC, Barkley and had to accept a last minute lowbid for Ampadu loan, you want to carry another big expenditure and salary on a midfielder when there are other fires to fight in the no9 position. Simple, Saul was the most financially sensible option. We did not estimate how far he has fallen, simple.

Fred and McTominay are not important to anyone. They are a smell that refused to go away. If Manure receive even £25m bid for either, they are gone. That's half of what they paid for Fred. They are just hamstrung by blowing big money on VDB, Pogba and Matic. In the days before FFP regulations, SAF would have sent Fred and McTominay packing for cheap like he did Veron while Roman would have torn up Jorginho contract years ago or sold him for pennies like he did to Mutu, Crespo, Shevchenko, Scott Parker, Veron etc.

The argument is redundant man, how will you say they had all the time in the world, while in fact they got pressed but they evade every pressure,because they were intelligent enough to know what to do with the ball and also had the individual skill set to maraud this pressure? How will you say they got exposed from 2013 when it was a period of mishap of management or say xabi Alonso got exposed when he dominated every opponent that came up against him? A DM will never be all round but the first point of any DM should be his ability to use the ball properly, nobody would have rated xabi, xavi, pirlo, busquet,carrick if they were only good in tackling rather than make good use of the ball. You can't go all about pointing every defeat these guys have suffered to them being expressway when we all know that teams can concede goals without having a lose midfield.
