Brayden parents won't be able to close the case cause the press is no following up the case and someone need to take the fall for both death and it won't be Brayden. All the cops have to do is to question both tariq and Brayden about where they were on the night of the murders. Tariq only alibi is his grandmother and now he is having problems with her. He is in for some deep shhit but I expect him to wizzle his way out cos that's why he is GHOST.

Kane is not as dumb as you might think. He was able to get Brayden to himself, pull out Ramirez badge and was able to plant the evidence in Tariq room. That is some slick move and we all see where it is heading to. Making tariq to take the fall.

Cane has nothing to lose, he is a soldier and was ready to run away and give it all up if not Mecca who suggested he should make someone else to take the fall.

Tariq has a lot to lose than cane. Remember he is a Connecticut student so he could graduate on time and get is inheritance unlike cane who doesn't have one. And if tariq is caught he get to face the death penalty.

Everyone knows cane in season doesn't make the best of decisions but right now he is making moves I expect tariq to be doing. Look at how he was able to get back to his family. No one knew cane had it in him to pull that off with the stolen drugs and replacing it with sugar and also linking his family with a new connect without them suspecting a thing.

all the sleek moves cane pulled, did he do it out of his own initiative? It was mecca that gave him the ideas, if not he might have gone rampage with his guns blazing as usual. Causing more trouble for himself. CK wants to prove a point that people we think are dumb can actually do better when they get incentives, she's doing that with cane and people are agreeing. She did the same with Saxe too. Saxe became desperate and almost poured sand into Davies garri in season 1

Facts! Tariq also has an alibi for the night jabari was killed. So Tariq could argue that he's being framed. The credibility of his alibi depends on his grandmother as you've said, but with the kind of person that grandmother is I don't think she will allow Tariq go to jail over their little misunderstanding about Yas' custody.
At the end of the day, Brayden might be tempted to give up cane and all the heists they've pulled together, brayden is not a snitch so I don't think he will give that up. He might not have to do any of that because of his parent's influence though
