There is no tribe or language called Igbo in Delta State. I'm going official here. The tribes we have in Anioma are Ika, Ukwani and Aniocha-Oshimili. We don't have Igbo. Go to Delta State Govt website to confirm.

I'm Akwa ibomites. Have never heard of Ukwani, Aniocha, or Oshimili dialect or language. Infact if you come to the north where i stay and you speak those language, everyone will call you igbo because that is igbo language. By the way if you meet the Aniochas and ask them are they Igbos .. 99 times out of 100 they will tell you they re Igbos and speak Igbo language. Sorry I'm from Akwa ibom base in Abuja and from what I have seen. Apart from the ikas and Ukwanis that have identity crisis, the rest of the Aniomas claim to be Igbo and speak Igbo language.

Even Delta State present Governnor ifeanyi Okowa have said he is Igbo and there is no different between the Igbos of the delta and the Igbos of the south east. Igbo is Igbo.

You people sound like fools sometimes. Don't you people refer to all core Northerners as Hausa/Fulani? Do you know that there are other recognised tribes other than Hausa/Fulani over there. Does it mean because you see all Core Northerners as Hausa/Fulani, the minorities should now consider themselves as Hausa/Fulani?

lol no body knows Aniocha as a tribe, no body knows ikas as a tribe. They only know them as a people.. same way, Aba is know as a people, nnewi is known as people etc.
All of those come under as a subgroup of Igbo.. Anioma is a subgroup of igbo.
Just like you might have an umbrella for people of Anambra for eg but Anambra is a subgroup of Igbo.. it is same thing in this instance.

Infact, even Governor Ifeanyi Okowa say he is igbo and there is no different between the south east Igbos and the delta Igbos.

Oga.. anyone that speaks hausa, practice hausa culture and name their children hausa names is hausa.
I'm not just talking about speaking a language because even an igbo man here speak hausa.. I'm from Anioma, Ibusa and of the Enuani nomenclature, and I'm proudly and unapologetically IGBO to the core of my bones, and every placelets of my blood courses with IGBO.

If you Ika people want to malign the Igbos on the basis of your insistence of not been Igbos, that is fine... but please don't drag the Enuani nation into your identity crisis madness, so just to be categorically clear here: Enuani are proudly IGBOS, we've never denied our Igboness. Then the Ika/Ukwuani axis of Anioma are partly Igbos, others claim Benin ancestry, while the rest want to maintain a purely distinct identity as just Ika.

Look at the north for example,hausas will not claim nupe,or gwari people as part of hausa.Even fulani and kanuris are allies,but they know their are different ethnic groups.

But in the case of the Igbos,they are very greedy,ignorant and very tribslistic.They want you to drop your identity and pick theirs and become a vassal of them.

I say it again,it is only the Igbo man who refuse to learn from his past mistakes because of greed.

I have said before,Igbos will be eliminated in mass in this country if they continue to create problems and enemies among all ethnic groups.
