frankman365:Coutinho has achieved more since his move than he would have achieved in Liverpool. He's earning higher, has a treble to his name as well as league and cup titles in Spain. |

Ayemileto:Coutinho has achieved more since his move than he would have achieved in Liverpool. He's earning higher, has a treble to his name as well as league and cup titles in Spain. I don't see how he will regret anything. He's earning higher than he was at Liverpool, he also has a CL medal to his name. |

paulolee:One thing people fail to realize is the Liverpool style of play. Liverpool plays heavy metal game. Fast counter attack! It will be difficult for a player who is use to playing a very fast high tempo shot trilling game to playing a tiki taka style of game. This is the reasoning Coutinho is failing in barca. Take Henderson, milner or any other player out of Liverpool and put them in a barca system they will fail. Is not a curse is just what they are use to. |

Delusions of grandeur. How has leaving Liverpool become a dangerous move? Suarez left Liverpool and won the UCL immediately with Barca scoring some magnificent goals along the way. The following season, he scored a whopping 58 goals in total to win the European golden shoe and a top 3 Ballon Dor nomination. How can that be classified as a failed move if not by delusionists? Coutinho has won a treble including UCL as well as 2 La lga trophies since leaving Liverpool. How is that a failed move? Wijnaldum just left. His success or otherwise can only be judged by season end. These half-baked agenda spinners are just eager to create a false narrative. |

obembet:Obembet keep quiet! Suarez left Liverpool and shined in Barcelona Even Sterling did the same at Manchester city.So what are you saying? And the Coutinho you are talking about as been playing for Liverpool even before klopps dreamed of coaching Liverpool. He was the best player at Liverpool before klopps came in So what rubbish are you saying ![]() |

I dont really see it as a curse...besides,the likes of suarez left LFC and won the la liga title and UCL! I believe it has to do with the pattern of play from the current manager at the club and you also have to consider his age! Klopp plays a 4-3-3 counterpress with everyone including the strikers playing as a team and covering for each other's flaws! Now a PSG side where everyone is playing for their individual glory and the manager is not really in control of the team,Gini will definitely find himself down the pecking order! Besides,Gini is going through what players in their early 30s experience...diminishing return! Let him go to a mid-table club in the EPL or just go back to the dutch league where he will consistently play no matter his performance! |

In life everyone has his own luck and destiny. They are drawing this comparison because he is having issues... What about Raheem Sterling that left there to Mancity and since then have been a bigger player than he was in Liverpool? What about Luis Suarez too? Why did they compare Storridge that stay till his career was wrecked...? Abeg, in life some moves will pay off others won't.. That the creators design.... |

koladebrainiac:Fernando Torres can never and will never be called a flop at Chelsea. Even though his goals were not what we expected he was involved in some key moments at Chelsea and let me remind you the moment he scored that last minute goal at the nou camp the 50 million was repaid. Also getting the corner that led to Drogba's UCL final equaliser made him a cult hero at Chelsea. It takes just a moment to become a hero or a villain. |

Have people forgotten that Sterling used to be in Liverpool. He left Liverpool and has won how many premier leagues with Man City and was maybe until now (i dont know Guardiola's plans and black players) a key player for them and the English national team |

[quote author=freshalien post=108551113]Has Pep won the CL since leaving Barca? He hasn’t even smelt the final of that competition since leaving Barca. There you go, you have your answer. Really? Who won the last Champions league? Whom did the winner play with? Indeed, Pep has not smelt the final of the competition since leaving Barcelona |

obembet:Coutinho was a champion league winner at Bayern Munich, he scored against Barca who saw nothing in him, he wanted to move permenantly but Barca took him back because he went to Bayern Munich under contract. This same scenario played out on Crespo when Chelsea sold him on contract to AC Milan only for Chelsea to deny him permenant move when he won champions league with Milan against Liverpool. |

To buttress your point, when Barca and Messi thought they were too big for Suarez, he left for ATM and was the star man as they won the league. So I wonder where his sentiment is coming from andrewbaba44: |

andrewbaba44:Consolation! Nobody even remembers there was a coutinho. The level he was in Liverpool was world's best player realm. What has he won that Liverpool has not won since he left? Go sleep jooor. By the way I'm not a Liverpool fan but the truth must be said. Some moves can take you to oblivion. |

kenzysmith:Countinho is a star and not a fool, did you watch him play for Bayern Munich? He even scored against Barca, wanted a permanent move but Barca denied him that opportunity because he went to Bayern under contract. If you are talking about leaving big club to small club to rebuild; our own Okocha left PSG for Bolton, what became of him? |
