Why is no one s answering this?

It seems they are suffering defeat, UN seems to be interested in human rights again.

Media is saying they're losing ground and getting pushed back. The government is also coming down hard on anyone seen as supporting them. So it looks like democracy and not foreign manipulation may win.

No the tigray are actually in control

No media is pushing the narrative that the tigray is loosing the war!
Rather the world just turned it's back on the crisis in Ethiopia because it wants Ethiopian and tigray forces to broker a peace deal.
And if they do not neither anyone in the west or east is interested .they have omicron to deal with.

Looks more like a hasty retreat to avoid annihilation than a voluntarily withdrawal

NAIROBI, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Tigrayan forces fighting the central government have withdrawn from neighbouring regions in Ethiopia's north, a Tigrayan spokesman said on Monday, a step towards a possible ceasefire after major territorial gains by the Ethiopian military.

The 13-month-old war in Africa's second-most-populous nation has destabilised an already fragile region, sent 60,000 refugees into Sudan, pulled Ethiopian soldiers away from war-ravaged Somalia and drawn in armed forces from neighbouring Eritrea.

"We have just completed the withdrawal of our forces from both Amhara and Afar regions," said Getachew Reda, a spokesman for the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF), the political party controlling most of the northerly region of Tigray.

Writing on Twitter, Getachew added that the TPLF hoped the pullout would induce the international community to put pressure on the governments of Ethiopia and neighbouring Eritrea, allies in the conflict, to cease military operations in Tigray.

It seems so. The federal forces have turned the tide against the rebel forces all with aid of drones. Thousands of rebels have been killed in the drone onslaught.

Yesterday, the rebels announced a complete pull-back to within the borders of Tigray. They wrote in a letter to the United Nations announcing this as a humanitarian gesture, but many see through this as tactical move to avoid a complete wipe out of men and machines on the battle field.

Turkish Bayraktar shock drones have helped the federal forces immensely, helping limit the exposure of their not-so-good combat forces. Same drones helped Azerbaijan destroy Armenian stationary machines and men on the battle field.

Drones from Iran and UAE have also helped the Ethiopians. That’s what friends are for... bring help when in need. You notice the big western powers who were on side of the rebels have completely stayed stunned. Rather than bring these brothers to the table and end the war, they were quick to urge their citizens to leave creating panic amongst the Ethiopians, supporting the rebels all because the Ethiopians are in on the Chinese BRI. Now you know who your enemies are!

I thought Nigeria would have leaned on its friendship with Turkey to acquire and deploy these drones in the NorthEast theater were the open Sahel is a perfect condition for drone attacks on the rebels. But as usual we are deep in trivial looking for cheap loans to squander.

Now USA is pressuring Turkey and UAE in the guise of human right abuses to halt support for the federal forces. They have recently setup a human right commission to look into abuses in this war.

And you know who is pulling the strings? They aren’t happy that Ethiopia is winning. They want a change in government so as to stop Chinese investments in Ethiopia, and stop BRI

At the onset of this war, UAE flew drone missions in support of the Federal forces but were pressured to halt when Biden took office.

I am glad Ethiopians were smart to also seek help from Iran. If UAE and Turkey halts support, the Iranians and the Chinese won’t stop their aid to Ethiopia.
