The vice president of Nigeria, professor Yemi Osibanjo has come under heavy criticism for Twitter copyright violation. Vice president Osibanjo had on the 2021 International Women's Day posted a video on the Twitter in which Beyonce Knowles' song: "Who Runs The World", was used as the background audio for the video.

Consequently, Twitter took down Osibanjo's tweet for copyright violation. While reacting, former Aid to ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri lashed at the Vice president for being ignorant of copyright Act despite being a professor of law.

He also alleged that Osibanjo is making secret move to succeed his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

"You claim to be a Professor of Law, with knowledge of intellectual property law, and you do not know that using a song without permission violates the Digital Millennium Copyright Act? And you are scheming to be President? Yoruba say abajo!" Reno Omokri tweeted.

Even me that is not a professor I know that if I post something using the music of an artist even if na small doctor song, twitter can remove it and even suspend my account. But our prof and his aides didn't think to seek proper permission or at least properly credit the owners of the music and no be small musician ooh a whole Beyoncé, Single ladies for that matter one of her most popular songs.
For a popular public figure sitting at the helm of the government using a global platform who has many followers and a professor of law with I'm sure 3 or more educated aides, this was a very huge oversight.
