I was just deflated emotionally today, like how can such mediocrity be acceptable in a league that prides itself as the best....

Fraser was also fouled but since we are discussing recently reconstructed laws to protect referees, Mr. Guardiola said that the line of action of the ball had Cancelo fully in possession of the ball with no interactions with Fraser who was clipped accidentally by Ederson. Remove Fraser from there and put a City player, Ederson would have still collided with said player.

I am never antiKlopp. The argument that Dele did not appeal therefore it is not a penalty is like saying Foden did not appeal when Kilman or whatever the Wolves player's name is who handled the ball in his box couple games back - therefore it is not a penalty. It is VARs duty to do their job. Alli overacted but he was nudged. Referees make mistakes. Foden scored a legit goal against Southampton in that 0-0 draw but VAR ruled it off because they thought Sterling hit the ball. Replays showed that Sterling did not.

The problem has never been the formation, dont know what u guys are watching. You can always attack with 5 atb; Infact, any system can be attacking. Football is more about managing space in offensive and defensive phases. The structure around it is what counts

Asides todays game we've been underperforming our xG. We have been creating real chances; well if you ignore Popizaino's obsession for Hollywood passes.

TT system works and is taking optimal advantage of the players at his disposal. Imagine Alonso playing LB today or Reece being even more -ve at RB. All his major players are out and even getting reduced. Jorgiboy just tested +ve. We had a postponement request rejected. We've just been really unlucky.

The onus is on the available players to step up. At least I felt some glimmer of hope with Saul today

A ref will not give Newcastle a penalty if Ederson slapped and body slammed Laporte in his defence. The point is, because a foul is committed in the box does not mean it must be a penalty. If Ederson's action prevented Fraser from getting to the ball, it is a penalty every day. If Fraser was in contention for the ball, it is a penalty everyday. Many times refs ignore holding and pulling during set plays if the player infringed is not in the line of action of the ball. I know it might feel like Newcastle were undone by that penalty that they were not given. So let us agree that the game ended 4-1.

Even as everyone saw how we lacked control of the game in the middle. On the side, I was actually glad jorginho got rested. He's at a risk of burnout at this stage. He badly needed the rest.

This is epl, besides you don't have iniesta or players who are very good at the third half of the pitch, put any of those so called Chelsea midfielders under pressure and if you don't see them losing the ball,you see them retreating with the ball, which most times helps our opponents to regroup,so why don't the coach abandon this pattern and just ask your defenders to send in long balls to the free man by the edge of the area or your DMF to consider sending long balls instead of retreating with the ball? Is it how post we want to score from? Pls let be realistic with ourselves,this our pattern is not sustainable at all and it's why goals don't normally come easy for us especially in tough games, we need a million passes before we can score a single goal,when just 3 passes can do get us the needed goal.

It was because we played Chalobah as a midfielder, it took only Saul's introduction to do that.

So far he ( Fraser) is not with the ball and was not clear while in control or possession of the ball, then appealing for a penalty in such case, is stupid if you ask me and any referee that award such a penalty should be put behind bars.
