A new president has emerged as the Chile new president in just concluded election yesterday election 19th December 2021. A 35-years-old, a student leader Mr Boric will become one of the world's youngest political leaders, and the youngest president in Chile's history

Leftist candidate Gabriel Boric has won Chile's presidential election after an early concession from his far-right rival, José Antonio Kast.
Mr Kast conceded defeat barely an hour and a half after polls closed, and with around half of ballots counted.

With most of the votes counted, Mr Boric won with 56% and Mr Kast trailed with 44% of the votes. The election has been one of the most polarised in recent decades and comes after mass anti-government protests.

Mr Boric offered starkly different visions for the country, he is an outsiders representing political parties that have never been in government..

Nigeria �� youth should wake up and make change otherwise we keep recycling in the old fashion of leadership as the old men are warming up for 2023 election. Let borrow from ideas and strategy from the young leaders like France �� president and currently Chile �� president

Our 35 years old are into drugs and internet fraud here. I will never vote for anybody who is less than 50 years. Dino Melaye has been buying Bugatti, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, e.t.c. is that whom I will vote for as President? Yahaya Bello has been behaving insane. The other time, a youth of about 40 years who is one of the Special Assistant to Ogun State useless governor was arrested in USA for stealing COVID-19 relief money of Americans. El-Rufai's untrained children has been behaving worse than Transport Union miscreants. Are those the useless youths that I will vote for?

Exactly so Say it that way and not make it like Nigeria has lacked youth leaders , infact we have had more youths in power than any other country I know ...

I think the call for youths actually is a call for a generational change of leadership, the same people have been ruling since 1966,it's time a new generation takes over, whether they will be better or not doesn't matter,change is key even the change from pDP to APC though many people won't see it,as thought Nigeria a lot of lessons that will be useful in future,the baby-boomers are failed men,they need to go,they nothing more to offer,they have tried their best and failed

Actually not the same people , there has been an infusion of a lot of new people at every election but nothing still changed .. If have 2 youths my personal personal friends in the National assembly and today I can tell you they are even worse in Behavior than tbe older generation....What Nigerians need are selfless visionary people and not age related people ...Just a couple of visionary people in governance and you will see the change .

The federal executive has largely been the same people since 1966,even the national assembly since 1999,those people are the ones who I think determine the direction of the system, if they are changed let's see how it turns out,we have to keep taking that risks

Not true .... Only Buhari in the FEC came from 1966 I could list the entire FEC to prove that , in 1999 Festus Keyamo was a a youth activist today he is that cabinet ...I can tell over 70 percent of the National assembly weren't even in politics in 1999 ..In 1999 my friend who is a prominent member of the National assembly today was in secondary school

Buhari first term most were from 1966 era,
Anyways Nigerian politics strongly follows the presidents leading,we need fresh blood,that's not to say it's going to be all good and rosy but it's a step,but these radical changes helps nations in immense ways

It's not about being 35 years. It's about having the strong political will to do the right things for your country, especially not allowing the US to use your country as a tool
