They do not need to declare these holidays, it is decipherable from day one what days will be holidays. Infact I apply for my vacation/holidays as early as March because I already know that 25th/26th falling on weekend means two extra days in the week while New year date will, in line with Dec 25th, also fall on same day (weekend) so another day in the new year.

I can almost guarantee you that in 2012, this will be the holidays...December 27, 2022 will be public holiday (to compensate for December 25th falling on a sunday) and January 3rd 2023 will be public holiday to compensate for January 1st (also falling on a sunday).

To the next abeg...

Their business. I am closing 5 pm on the 24th and resuming 7 am on the 27th. New Year is 1st of January not 3rd.
Indolent government, lazing around after dosing us with relentless inflation in 2021 making us work twice as hard to remain viable.
They think everyone borrows unashamedly to move forward.
